Easton, Mass. (October 11) -- Freshman
Keesan Howe (Norwich, Conn.) scored in the 11th
minute for all the offense Saint Anselm would need as the Hawks
defeated Stonehill by a 1-0 final on Saturday afternoon in
Northeast-10 play.
The Hawks owned a 12-3 advantage in total shots as the team
continued its mid-season surge. Goalkeeper John Corridan
(Holliston, Mass.) made one save for the shutout victory.
Assisting on Howe's goal was senior Sam Lamptey (Worcester,
Mass.), who is currently the leading point scorer in the
Northeast-10.
With the win, Saint Anselm is now back at .500 at 6-6-1 overall
and 4-3-1 in the Northeast-10. Stonehill now stands at 3-6-2
overall and 1-6-1 in league play.
