Manchester, N.H. (October 1) -- Michael
Busto scored for Franklin Pierce with 7:32 left in the
second half as Saint Anselm dropped a 2-1 final to the Ravens on
Wednesday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference men's soccer action.
Tom Reilly put the Ravens up 1-0 at the 34:10
mark of the first half as he stole the ball in the box and fired in
his second goal of the season. Saint Anselm answered just 1:24 into
the second period as senior Sam Lamptey (Worcester,
Mass.) stole a pass in the box and buried the ball into
the top right corner for his second goal in as many games and his
fourth of the season.
Busto lifted the Ravens to the victory at 82:28 as he took a
pass from Kensaku Tsuji and notched his first goal
of the 2008 season.
John Corridan (Holliston, Mass.) made three
saves for the Hawks, while Vinny Papageorgiou made
on save in the victory for the Ravens.
Saint Anselm is back in action on Saturday afternoon as the
Hawks travel to Saint Rose for a 2 p.m. start in Albany, N.Y.
