Hawks Fall to No. 17 Franklin Pierce

Manchester, N.H. (September 15) -- No. 17 ranked Franklin Pierce proved to be too much for Saint Anselm on Saturday afternoon as the Hawks dropped a 4-0 final to the visiting Ravens in Northeast-10 play.

Gabriela Demoner scored a pair for the Ravens, along with goals from Angelika Johannson and Thatiane Preisler.

Jacqueline Cooney (Braintree, Mass.) got the start for the Hawks and made one save in 65:31 of play. Micaela Smith (Andover, Mass.) played the remaining 24:29, making a pair of stops. Jenna Mello made six saves for the Ravens in picking up the victory.

With the loss, the Hawks are at the .500 mark at 4-4-0 overall and 2-2-0 in Northeast-10 play. The Hawks are back in action on Wednesday, September 19th when the team travels to Bentley for a league contest beginning at 3:30 p.m.
