Manchester, N.H. (October 9) -- Cross-town
rival Southern New Hampshire defeated the Saint Anselm volleyball
team 3-1 (33-35, 30-16, 30-24, 30-15) on Tuesday evening at
Southern New Hampshire's fieldhouse in a non-conference
match. The loss drops the Hawks to 2-15 overall, while the
win improves Southern New Hampshire to 7-8.
Stephanie Dluginski (Floral Park, NY)
registered 16 kills and three blocks to lead Southern New
Hampshire. Jamie Rood (Southbury, CT) finished
with 15 kills and a .440 hitting percentage, while Brooke
Lefort (Cumberland, RI) added 11 kills.
For the Hawks, Alana McNeil (Lawrence, Mass.)
led the offense with 11 kills. Kelly O'Dea (Andover,
Mass.) registered 24 assists while also notching 14
digs. Sam Regan (Danville, N.H.) pitched in
with 13 digs.
Saint Anselm returns to action next Tuesday when it travels to
UMass Lowell for a 7:00 match. Southern New Hampshire returns to
action Saturday when it hosts Merrimack College and Adelphi
University.
