Manchester, N.H. (October 9) -- On Tuesday
afternoon, the Saint Anselm women's soccer team played to a
scoreless tie with No. 3 ranked Bryant University in
Northeast-10 Conference play.
The Bulldogs owned an 11-2 advantage in shots on goal, but Saint
Anselm netminder Jacqueline Cooney (Braintree,
Mass.) came through with an outstanding 11-save afternoon
to preserve the tie. Jessica Clark (Barnstable,
Mass.) was in net for the Bulldogs, turning aside two
shots.
With the tie, the Hawks are now 6-7-2 overall and 4-5-2 in the
league, while Bryant remains unbeaten at 13-0-4 overall and 8-0-3
in the Northeast-10. Saint Anselm is back in action on Thursday
afternoon when the Hawks host Caldwell for a 3:30 p.m. start.
