Manchester, N.H. (October 20) -- The volleyball
team hosted a tri-match this Saturday at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium,
but could not come away with a win, falling to Pace, 3-0 (30-21,
30-14, 30-25), and Adelphi, 3-0 (30-21, 30-25, 30-15). The pair of
losses drops the Hawks to 3-18 overall, while the loss against Pace
drops the team's Northeast-10 record to 2-10.
In the match against Pace, Alana McNeil (Lawrence,
Mass.) led the team in offense with nine kills while
posting two blocks. Kelly O'Dea (Andover,
Mass.) notched 21 assists, while Samantha Regan
(Danville, N.H.) picked up 10 digs. Pace's record improves
to 9-11 overall, 6-3 in Northeast-10 play.
In the match versus Adelphi, McNeil again led the Hawks with
eight kills, while Stephanie Devlin (Middleton,
Mass.) pitched in with seven. O'Dea had 21
assists, and Heather Sherlock (No. Andover, Mass.)
picked up nine digs. Adelphi improves to 21-5 with the win.
The Hawks return to action traveling to Merrimack on Tuesday,
October 23, for a 7:00 p.m. start.
