Hawks Fall 3-0 at Merrimack

No. Andover, Mass. (October 23) -- The volleyball team dropped a non-conference match-up to Merrimack, 3-0 (30-23, 30-9, 30-15), on Tuesday evening at Merrimack's Volpe Gym. The win improves Merrimack to 13-10, while the loss drops the Hawks to 3-19.

For the Hawks, Alana McNeil (Lawrence, Mass.) continued her record-breaking pace with 13 kills. McNeil now needs 12 kills over the next three matches to break Saint Anselm's all-time kill record. Sam Regan (Danville, N.H.) had 18 digs, while Kelly O'Dea (Andover, Mass.) posted 18 assists.

For Merrimack, Ale Kuncaitis led the way with a double-double (12 kills, 13 digs). Molly Cindric added nine kills, seven digs, and four blocking assists. Lisa Barr hit an impressive .462 while posting a match-high 15 kills. Elyse Lorenz paced the offense with 45 assists and six service aces.

The Hawks return to action Friday, traveling to Saint Rose for a 7:00 p.m. start.
