Hawks End in 1-1 Tie at Le Moyne

Syracuse, N.Y. (October 13) -- On Saturday afternoon, the Saint Anselm women's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie with Le Moyne in Northeast-10 Conference play.

The Hawks took the lead at the 20:18 mark on an unassisted goal by Bethany Dunn (Plymouth, Mass.) for a 1-0 edge. Dunn fired a shot into the upper left hand corner for the score. The Hawks took the 1-0 lead into the second half before Megan O'Shea evened things up with a goal at the 63:30 mark.

Micaela Smith (Andover, Mass.) earned the start for the Hawks and gave up one goal and made six saves in 76 minutes of play. Freshman Jacqueline Cooney (Braintree, Mass.) made four saves in 44 minutes of action. Amanda Abbatiello made six saves for the win for the Dolphins.

Saint Anselm is now 7-7-3 overall and 4-5-3 in the league, while Le Moyne is 8-6-1 overall and 4-6-1 in league play.
