A Look at Saint Anselm: The Hawks are coming off a 56-7 loss at Stonehill last Saturday in the Second Annual Hawk Classic at W.B. Mason Stadium in Easton, Mass. The Hawks picked up a touchdown late in the game when junior running back Conor Cahill found the end zone from three yards out for his third TD of the season. Dan Bohenek led the team defensively with 11 tackles, followed by Rob Paradis with 10 and All-America candidate Casey Larson with nine. The kick return game has been a high point for the Hawks, led by senior Corey Williams. Last week, Williams returned six kicks for 153 yards and on the season, has 24 returns for 489 yards. He ranks third in the Northeast-10 with an average return of 20.4 yards and is also third in the league in all-purpose yards with 778.

A Look at Merrimack: The Warriors come in following a 44-21 loss at American International to drop to 1-4 overall and 1-3 in Northeast-10 play. Of Merrimack's three losses in league play, one came by a three-point margin in overtime vs. Bryant and then by just five points in a home loss to Bentley. The leader of the Warrior offense is again standout quarterback Colin Temple, who has completed 71 of 137 pass attempts for 985 yards and 12 touchdowns. Mike Young leads the rushing attack with 415 yards on 98 attempts and two touchdowns.

The Merrimack River Shootout Trophy: The winner of this weekend's game takes home the Merrimack River Shootout Cup, which is a handmade cup created last season. In last year's game, the Warriors came away with a 52-28 win to claim the first game in the series. Saint Anselm head coach Ken Knapczyk created three rivalry games in 2006, including last week's Hawk Classic and next week's Second Annual Granite Cup with Bryant University.
