Saint Anselm women's soccer head coach Lee Moyce announced the hiring of Taylor Burgess as the program's newest assistant coach in April of 2026. Along with her coaching responsibilities, Burgess will also be working as a Game Operations Assistant in the athletic department.

Burgess most recently spent the 2025 season as an assistant coach with the University of Massachusetts-Lowell women's soccer team, where she had previously completed a successful collegiate playing career for the River Hawks, serving as the starting goalkeeper from 2019-24. In her lone season as an assistant coach, Burgess primarily worked with the UMass Lowell goalkeepers, as the River Hawks ranked tied for second in the America East in 2025 with five.

As well as her work with the goalies, she supported the development and performance of the student-athletes through high-level training sessions, individualized technical development, and tactical preparation. Her role included opponent scouting and match analysis for game strategy, while also contributing to the recruiting initiatives and player evaluations. In addition, she assisted with day-to-day operations including travel coordination, logistical planning, and game day management.

Along with her coaching experience at UMass Lowell, Burgess has also coached for New Hampshire ODP and FC Stars club teams. Taking on the role of assistant goalkeeper coach for New Hampshire ODP, Burgess assisted the head goalkeeper coaches during ODP training sessions and trained elite goalkeepers from the region. With FC Stars, she assisted with practices, drills, and games, all while learning how to develop, train, and be a mentor to a variety of age groups.

As a player for the River Hawks, Burgess made 57 appearances with 56 starts in net, including 18 in 2023 and 2024. Posting 21 career wins, the second most in Division I history, she allowed only 80 goals while making 291 saves, good for a .784 career save percentage.

A native of Mendon, Massachusetts, Burgess graduated from UMass Lowell with her bachelor's in criminal justice in 2023 before earning her master's in criminal justice in the spring of 2025.
