Maggie Kenney

Maggie Kenney completed her first season as an assistant volleyball coach at Saint Anselm in 2016.

In Kenney's first season on the Hilltop, she was part of a coaching staff that guided the Hawks to their first appearance in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship since 2004. As the No. 4 seed, Saint Anselm hosted its first NE10 Championship match in 20 years, falling to two-time defending champion Adelphi in four sets. The Hawks finished the season 20-8 overall, matching the program record for wins, and set a new program record with 10 NE10 victories.

Kenney came to Saint Anselm after a four-year career at the University of New Hampshire. At UNH, she played in 57 matches over her four years and was a part of three-straight America East Conference championship teams (2013-15). Kenney's teams went a combined 76-48 and won at least 20 matches in each of her final three seasons.

The Merrimack native graduated from UNH in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in linguistics. Kenney was twice named to the America East Academic Honor Roll (2014-15) and was on the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2013.

At Merrimack High School, Kenney was a four-year member of the volleyball and track and field teams, while also playing two years of basketball. In 2012, she was named the New Hampshire State Volleyball Player of the Year and the Union Leader Volleyball Player of the Year, while also gathering first team all-state honors.

Kenney has served as a youth volleyball coach for the Seacoast Volleyball Club, coaching the U12 (2012-13) and U14 (2013-14) teams.
