Head Coach Braden Zamore completed his eighth season at the helm of the Saint Anselm College women's volleyball team in the 2022-23 academic year.

In 2022, the Hawks returned to the NCAA Division II volleyball tournament grabbed a straight sets win in the First Round over the 2021 East Region Champion, Daemen (N.Y.) University. That win marked the first-ever straight sets win in the NCAA postseason for the program, who was making their fourth overall appearance and second in the semifinals round. Saint Anselm posted a 21-10 record in 2022, matching the 2019 squad for the most wins in a single season in program history. Earlier in the season, the Hawks won a program-record 19 consecutive sets, aiding them to a 7-0 record to start the 2022 campaign.

Under Zamore's guidance, the 2021 squad posted a 19-8 overall record and a 9-4 mark in Northeast-10 Conference play. With a win over Saint Rose on Nov. 5, Zamore became the first coach in program history to reach 100 wins while on the Hilltop and just two matches later, won his 200th career match as a head coach.

Zamore, a recipient of the American Volleyball Coaches Association's "Thirty Under 30" award, has piloted his team to unprecedented heights, including the team's first-ever trips to the NCAA Division II volleyball tournament. In just five seasons with the Hawks, Zamore has racked up 83 wins along with four consecutive appearances in the NE10 postseason entering the 2020 campaign.

Under the guidance of Zamore in 2019, the Hawks were able to capture the program’s first NCAA Division II East Region Tournament win, downing New Haven in the opening round in four sets. He helped Saint Anselm to 21 victories, the team's third 20-plus win season, and guided the Hawks to its first-ever home Northeast-10 Conference postseason victory at home.

Despite falling in five sets to Bentley in the conference semifinals, Saint Anselm earned its third straight at-large bid into the NCAA East Regional as the No. 4 seed. With his team's straight-set win over Assumption on Sept. 20, Zamore became the program's all-time wins leader with 68 to his credit, passing legendary Granite State head coach Lloyd Sheehan on the all-time Hawks leaderboard.

The Hawks qualified for their second-straight trip to the NCAA Division II East Regional in 2018, racking up an overall record of 17-13. The Hawks handed the top-seeded Chargers from the University of New Haven a straight-set defeat to open the Northeast-10 Conference postseason and, in doing so, helped the cause for an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament. Saint Anselm finished the year with three All-Conference selections as the group helped to record single-season team records in kills per set (12.96) while ranking second in kills (1,478) and attacking percentage (.237).

In 2017, Zamore led the Hawks to their first NCAA Tournament berth and their first victory in the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament. As the No. 6 seed, Saint Anselm outlasted third-seeded Bentley, 17-15 in the fifth, on the road for its first victory in the league's postseason tournament on Nov. 14. The win gave the Hawks wins in all three meetings with Bentley after entering the season 0-30 all-time in the series. Despite falling in five sets to Southern Connecticut State in the semifinals, Saint Anselm earned an at-large bid into the NCAA East Regional as the No. 7 seed, falling to No. 2 seed Molloy in five sets.

In 2016, Zamore led the Hawks to their first appearance in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship since 2004, the eighth berth in program history. Saint Anselm hosted its first NE10 Championship match since 1996, falling to two-time defending champion Adelphi as the No. 4 seed. The Hawks finished the season 20-8 overall to match the program record for wins and the team's 10 NE10 victories established a new program record. Saint Anselm's 14-1 start to the season was the best in program history.

Zamore has coached six All-NE10 selections over the last two seasons, including four in 2017. Setter Jewel Hays earned second-team honors in both 2016 and 2017 and was joined on the second team by senior Katy Teets in 2017. Madison Sollows was a third-team selection in each of the last two years. Sollows (2016) and Holly Manchester (2017) earned all-rookie nods.

In his first season, Zamore guided a young Hawks team featuring just one senior to an overall record of 9-15, which included a 5-9 mark in the NE10. Five of the team's nine conference losses were in five sets.

Named to the position on Feb. 10, 2015, Zamore came to the Hilltop after most recently serving as head coach of both men's and women's volleyball programs at NCAA Division III-affiliated Daniel Webster College. Named NECC Women's Coach of the Year in 2009 and 2010 and NECC Men's Coach of the Year in 2010 and 2013, Zamore guided 36 All-NECC Players in his seven seasons as head coach of the Eagles volleyball programs. Zamore departed Daniel Webster as the all-time coaching wins leader in program history for both men's and women's squads.

Under his tutelage, the Eagles' women's program won three consecutive regular season New England Collegiate Conference championships from 2008-10 and was crowned NECC Tournament Champion in 2009. On the women's side alone, Zamore compiled an overall coaching record of 98-72 with a league mark of 39-14, boasting at least a .500 conference record in all seven seasons.

After a 10-year period of dormancy, Zamore also resurrected the men's volleyball program at DWC and was immediately successful in building a competitive Division III product. The Eagles finished as NECC league runner-up in 2010 and 2014 and earned berths in the 2012 and 2013 ECAC Tournament. Through the spring of 2014, Zamore compiled a 62-74 record overall and a 39-21 mark in NECC play, finishing no worse than fourth in the seven-team league.

Before Daniel Webster, Zamore spent the 2007-08 season as the head men's and women's volleyball coach and Assistant Sports Information Director at Central Maine Community College.

A native of Chesterfield, N.H., Zamore is also a 2007 graduate of Southern Maine where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in communication. While a student at USM, Zamore founded the Huskies' men's volleyball club and spent one season as a student assistant coach with the varsity women's program.

Zamore, an active member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association, currently resides in Merrimack with his wife, Erin, son Nolan and daughter Brooklyn.
