In his most previous role, Joy supported the Athletics Communications office by overseeing in-game statistics for several sports including soccer and basketball, while assisting with game recaps, digital game program creation and maintenance of program histories and records.
 
The longest tenured coach in Plymouth State women's soccer history, Joy roamed the sidelines for nine seasons after being named the program's 12th head coach in the March of 2014.
 
A member of the NCAA's regional advisory committee (RAC), Joy led the Panthers to their best record in 13 years in 2016, earning Little East Conference (LEC) Coach of the Year honors in the process to become just the second PSU women's soccer coach to do so. 

Prior to taking over the program in 2014, Joy had been coaching soccer for nearly a decade at the college, high school, club and ODP level. He served as the head boys' soccer coach at Bishop Brady (Concord, N.H.) from 2011-13, winning NHIAA Coach of the Year honors in 2013.
 
Joy has been a youth development trainer for Samba Player Development Academy from 2008-17, helping develop dozens of players who are now playing at the collegiate and national levels. He has also been at the helm for two youth National Futsal Championship teams, and in the spring of 2019 he was named the director of the New Hampshire Soccer League.
 
Joy started his college career at Worcester Polytechnic Institute studying Industrial Engineering and System Dynamics before transferring to Plymouth State where he has earned both a Bachelor's in Business Administration and Master's in Strategic Management. He holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National "D" License and a United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma.
 
Joy resides a stones throw from the Hilltop in Pinardville with his wife, Ashley, and one year old son Ryker.Â
