Jeff Bailey joined the Saint Anselm College women's soccer coaching staff as an assistant coach on Apr. 9, 2018 and enters his ninth season with the Hawks in 2026.
Since joining the Hawks, Bailey has helped guide the program to its first NCAA Tournament appearances, earning back-to-back at-large bids to the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship in 2021 and 2022. The Hawks followed with a historic 2025 campaign, winning the Northeast 10 Conference regular season and tournament championships for the first time since 1994 and completing conference play undefeated for the first time since 1994.
Bailey was the head coach at Franklin Pierce University from 1996-2016, leading the Ravens to three NCAA Division II national championships (1996, 1997, 1999), 11 conference titles, 15 berths in the NCAA Tournament and a record of 330-79-28 (.787) over his 21 seasons. At the start of the 2026 season, his .787 winning percentage ranked 17th all-time in Division II and 17th across all divisions, while his 330 victories were seventh-most in Division II. The 1996 and 1997 national championship teams were inducted into the Franklin Pierce Athletics Hall of Fame in 2024.
A five-time National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) New England Region Coach of the Year, Bailey coached 46 All-America selections, 84 all-region choices and 65 All-Northeast-10 Conference honorees during his time in Rindge, as well as 13 conference players of the year. His teams also excelled in the classroom, producing 25 CoSIDA Academic All-District and 11 Academic All-America honorees.
A 1992 graduate of Franklin Pierce, Bailey was inducted into the university’s Athletics Hall of Fame in 2000. He was a member of the 1991 men’s soccer team that was the first Ravens team to advance to the NCAA Final Four and that team was also inducted into the institution’s Hall of Fame in 2007.
During his playing days at Franklin Pierce, Bailey was a two-time NSCAA All-America selection, a three-time All-New England choice and a four-time All-New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) honoree while serving as a three-year team captain. As a midfielder and defender, he scored 18 goals and recorded 33 assists for 69 points to rank 14th in program history in points. He was also a two-time First Team NSCAA/Adidas Scholar All-America recipient and went on to play professionally for six seasons, five with the Cape Cod Crusaders.
Bailey and his wife, Beth, live in Londonderry, N.H. with their two daughters, English and Darby. English is a member of the Saint Anselm Class of 2023 and played on the Hawks' women's soccer team.
