Thomas Prentice enters his fourth season on the Saint Anselm men's soccer coaching staff in 2026, including his second as a volunteer assistant coach after beginning his coaching career as a student assistant in 2023.
Since graduating from Saint Anselm in 2024 with a degree in sociology, Prentice has remained with the Hawks as a volunteer assistant coach. Prentice served as the varsity boys' soccer head coach at Nashua High School North during the 2025 season and will take over as the varsity boys' soccer head coach at Merrimack High School in 2026. In addition, Prentice coaches with FC Stars, where he has worked with multiple age groups. His 2009 age group was the Presidents Cup Regional Champion and advanced to the U.S. Youth Soccer National Tournament in Pennsylvania in 2023.
As a student-athlete at Saint Anselm, Prentice appeared in eight matches during the 2021 season, making his collegiate debut against Roberts Wesleyan on September 8th while recording his first career assist. He missed the 2022 season due to injury before serving as the team's student manager and student assistant coach during the 2023 campaign.
A 2019 graduate of New Hampton School, Prentice earned All-Lakes Region honors twice and was a two-time All-NEPSAC selection. He was a four-year Honor Roll student and was active in the school community as freshman class president, a dormitory proctor and a member of the Outing Club. He also volunteered with the New Hampton Community School and the Humane Society.
Prentice is the son of Tom and Robyn Prentice. His father, Tom, played baseball at Keene State College.
