Profile: Secondfull year in the program who's offseason commitment and hard workshould lead to a strong senior season... Lew possesses a strongunderstanding of the game on both ends of the floor... Despitebeing one of the biggest players on the team, he's also one of theteam's best passers... Improved strength and conditioning duringthe offseason should lead to more production offensively and on theboards.

2006-07: Appearedin all 29 games with 14 starts... Named to the Northeast-10 WeeklyHonor Roll once... Put together a streak of five straightdouble-digit scoring games, including a career-high 19-pointevening vs. St. Thomas Aquinas on 12-17-06... Posted a career-high10 rebounds in a home win over Le Moyne on 2-17-07... Hit his lonecareer three-point attempt on 2-20-07 vs. Stonehill... Knocked downa career-best eight field goals twice, including most recently vs.St. Thomas Aquinas on 12-17-06... Finished fourth on the team with6.4 points per game.

2005-06: Appearedin 14 games after joining the Hawks in the second semester as atranfer from Division I Rider University... Played 12 minutes inthe team's rout of Le Moyne on 2-1-06 and scored eight points inthat contest... Posted four rebounds in his first game at SaintAnselm as the team defeated nationally ranked Holy Family at theComfort Inn Classic on 12-28-05... Thompson blocked his firstcareer shot in a home loss to Bentley on 1-19-06.

2004-05: Thompsonappeared in 10 games for Rider as a freshman... He scored his firstcollegiate points in a game against Marist on 12-3-04, knockingdown a pair of free throws.

Previous: Prior toRider, Thompson graduated from Christian Brothers Academy. As asenior, Thompson led CBA to a 21-6 record and the NJSIAA SouthJersey Parochial A semifinals. As a junior, he averaged 15 pointsand eight rebounds.

Coach Dickson onThompson: "Lew has come back to school in very goodcondition and has prepared himself extremely well for his senioryear. He's got a very good understanding of how to play and bringsthe most experience to a very young group of forwards. He is acapable scorer around the rim and is a willing screener and passer.We really need for Lew to defend the post and rebound bothbackboards at a much higher rate than last year for us to besuccessful."
