Harry Oringer begins his fourth season as head coach of the Saint Anselm College baseball program in the 2026-27 academic year after being named the program's 12th head coach on July 14, 2023. Oringer arrived on the Hilltop following six seasons as an assistant coach at Endicott College, succeeding Jerod Edmondson '06.
In 2026, Oringer guided the Hawks to one of the program's most successful seasons in recent memory. Saint Anselm posted a 23-22 overall record and a 21-15 mark in Northeast 10 Conference play to earn the No. 3 seed in the NE10 Championship, the program's highest postseason placement in more than a decade. The Hawks also hosted an NE10 Championship First Round game for the first time since 2012. Sophomore first baseman George Slauson headlined the season by earning Northeast 10 Conference Player of the Year honors along with D2CCA East Region Player of the Year, NCBWA East Region Player of the Year and ABCA/Rawlings East Region Position Player of the Year accolades. Slauson was also recognized as a Third Team All-American by the D2CCA, NCBWA and ABCA/Rawlings.
During the 2025 campaign, Oringer coached three Northeast 10 All-Conference selections. Freshman Gabe Knudsen earned All-NE10 Second Team honors, becoming the program's first Second Team selection since 2012 and the first Hawks pitcher to receive all-conference recognition since 2012. Freshman Jackson Powers was named to the All-NE10 Third Team, while Powers, Knudsen and George Slauson all earned NE10 All-Rookie Team recognition. The Hawks concluded the season with a 15-31 overall record and a 9-16 conference mark before advancing to the NE10 Championship First Round.Â
In his first season at the helm in 2024, Oringer led Saint Anselm to a 15-28 overall record and a 9-18 record in Northeast-10 play. Senior catcher Nolan Elmore earned ABCA/Rawlings All-East Region Second Team honors and All-NE10 Second Team recognition, while freshmen Mavrick Bourdeau and Cooper Hagen were named to the NE10 All-Rookie Team.
While with Endicott, Oringer was named the 2023 New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Assistant Coach of the Year for his efforts on the bench. Endicott was twice named the NEIBA Division III Team of the Year and posted a program-record 45 wins last year on the way to a 2023 NCAA Division III World Series appearance, ranking as high as No. 4 nationally.
Prior to his assistant coaching stint with the Gulls, Oringer served as an assistant coach at Bucknell University during the 2017 season. While at Bucknell, Oringer worked with infielders and hitters, coached first base during games, was responsible for scouting reports and defensive alignment strategies, and recruited on a national scale.
Before joining the coaching ranks, Oringer played two seasons in Sydney, Australia, in the New South Wales Baseball League. As a member of the Ryde Hawks, he played second base and competed against the Australian World Baseball Classic National Team.
As a student-athlete at Endicott, Oringer was a standout player for the Gulls and was a three-time Commonwealth Coast Conference All-Conference (CCC) honoree. He was named a D3Baseball.com Second Team All-American as a junior and received D3Baseball.com Preseason First Team All-America recognition entering his senior year. As a senior, he was named Endicott's Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Upon graduating, he ranked first all-time in games played, assists, and double plays turned, while ranking second in runs scored and walks, fourth in hits, total bases, and stolen bases, fifth in RBI, sixth in on-base percentage, and ninth in doubles.
A native of Dartmouth, Mass., Oringer graduated from Endicott in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in physical education with a concentration in exercise science. He also was a member of the Phi Epsilon Kappa Exercise Science Honors Fraternity, a member of the Physical Education Club, and earned multiple Dean's List honors.
