17 Hawks Land on 2025-26 NEWHA All-Academic Team

WINTHROP, Mass. – The New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) announced its 2025-26 All-Academic Team on Wednesday, with 17 members of the Saint Anselm College women's ice hockey team earning recognition for their achievements in the classroom.

To qualify for NEWHA All-Academic Team honors, student-athletes must maintain a grade-point average of at least 3.0 during both the fall and spring semesters.

Senior Sydney Merritt highlighted the Hawks' honorees, becoming one of 32 student-athletes across the conference to earn All-Academic Team recognition for the fourth time in her career. On the ice, Merritt appeared in 20 games during the 2025-26 campaign, recording one goal and two assists while posting a +11 plus/minus rating.

Merritt was joined by 16 teammates on the All-Academic Team, underscoring Saint Anselm's continued commitment to excellence both on the ice and in the classroom. The complete list of Hawks recognized by the conference is as follows:
