MANSFIELD, Mass. – Two student-athletes from the nationally ranked No. 5 Saint Anselm College men's lacrosse team were recognized with Northeast-10 (NE10) weekly awards on Monday afternoon. Junior Chris Claflin (Newton, Mass.) was named the NE10 Player of the Week, while sophomore Finn Granara (Reading, Mass.) earned his second consecutive Goalkeeper of the Week honor. Both were instrumental in the Hawks' historic win over No. 2 Adelphi, as well as a victory earlier in the week against Saint Michael's.

Claflin became the first Hawk this season to be named the conference's Player of the Week and earned the award for the first time in his career. He totaled two goals and seven assists across the two contests, setting a career-high with five assists in the win over Adelphi — including three on the team's first four goals. Claflin now leads the team this season in both points (27) and assists (18), with the latter ranking fourth in the NE10 and ten more than any other Hawk.

Granara, earning back-to-back weekly honors, compiled 22 saves and allowed just 13 goals for a .629 save percentage across the two wins. He was outstanding against Adelphi, stopping 13 shots while holding the league's top-scoring offense to just six goals — and none in the first half. Granara ranks fifth in the NE10 in save percentage (.591), and is second among goalies who have faced at least 60 shots.

Claflin, Granara, and the undefeated Hawks return home for their Senior Day matchup against American International on Wednesday, April 9th at 4:00 p.m. Saint Anselm then closes out the regular season at home against Southern New Hampshire on Wednesday, April 16th, followed by a road contest at No. 8 Pace on Saturday, April 19th.
