MANCHESTER, N.H. – Powered by two goals scored by senior captain Brooklyn Schneiderhan, the Saint Anselm College women's ice hockey team took down Stonehill College (0-3-0, 0-1-0 NEWHA) in a New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) clash at Sullivan Arena on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
Stonehill got on the board first as Lily Geist found the back of the net 5:48 into the opening frame.
Saint Anselm responded with a goal less than two minutes later as freshman Lauren Waldo fired in a near-side wrist shot for her first collegiate strike.
The Hawks took the lead for the first and final time as Schneiderhan scored the eventual game-winning goal, firing a wrister into the top right corner on a breakaway for a shorthanded goal to make it 2-1 before the first intermission.
The next goal would come with under a minute remaining in regulation as Schneiderhan added her second of the game with an empty-netter.

The Hawks will travel to Schenectady, N.Y. to take part in the Ice Breaker Tournament, hosted by Union College at the newly-constructed M&T Bank Center. The Hawks will play the host Garnet Chargers (3-1-2, 0-0-0 ECAC) on Friday, Oct. 17 at 3:37 p.m. and will face off against either Wisconsin or Vermont on Saturday, Oct. 18.
