HOW IT HAPPENED
- The home team struck first on Thursday with a long range shot from Greenleigh McGehee (New Tripoli, Pa.) nine minutes into the first quarter off a feed from Grace Harrold (York, Pa.). The Golden Bears would press their lead further in the second quarter, scoring off a penalty corner play with a rebound feed from Juliana Donato (Cedarville, N.J.) finding Jessica Traynor (Pennsburg, Pa.) for a back post shot and score.
- The Hawks would attempt to find momentum in the second half earning penalty corners but were unable to capitalize before the home team would strike again. A tip in shot from Traynor would give the squad a three-goal advantage with 14-minutes left to play. Three minutes later teammate Mia Simpson (Wildwood, Mo.) would provide the final blow with a solo shot and score.
