Women's Tennis Falls in Battle Against Bentley, 4-3

Box Score MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's tennis team fell to Northeast-10 Conference opponent Bentley on Tuesday by a 4-3 final score.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Saint Anselm started the match hot by winning two out of the three doubles matches, highlighted by the No. 1 doubles pair of juniors Irene Garbo (Assemini, Sardinia, Italy) and Camila Heredia Osante (Oaxaca, Mexico) winning 6-1. The No. 2 doubles tandem of juniors Natalia Gonzalez Ramos (Guadalajara, Spain) and Julie Börschig (Stuttgart, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany) winning 6-4.
  • In singles action, Garbo continued to show her dominance in the No. 1 slot by earning a 6-1, 6-3 victory.
  • In No. 3 singles, Ramos continued her winning day by prevailing 6-3, 6-4.
  • Bentley mounted a comeback in singles action and were able to take the team win by a final score of 4-3.


INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Garbo improved to 7-0 on the season in singles.
  • Ramos moved to 4-3 in singles this fall.
