HOW IT HAPPENED (vs. East Stroudsburg - 25-18, 25-10, 25-14)
- The first set against hosts East Stroudsburg began as an even match as the teams would exchange points to be tied at 4-4.
- The Warriors generated a run to take a 10-6 advantage over the Hawks behind a kill and pair of aces from Taylor Haan.
- Saint Anselm found their way back into the set with a service ace from sophomore Madeline Burke (Lake George, N.Y.) that brought the score to 9-10.
- East Stroudsburg increased their lead to 18-10 as the Hawks compiled a few attacking errors along with the failure to return some serves.
- Sophomore Melis Kocak (East Greenwich, R.I.) kick-started a three-point run for the Hawks, but the swings from the Warriors would be too much to come back from in the first set.
- The Warriors continued their momentum into the second set and took an early 8-2 lead behind a pair of kills from Anna Coulter.
- Junior Skylar Ryan (Channahon, Ill.) and sophomore Hollyn Frano (Cave Creek, Ariz.) responded for Saint Anselm with a run of their own, stringing together four straight points for the Hawks, but East Stroudsburg made a statement by ending the second set on a 16-2 run to pull ahead 2-0 in the match.
- Saint Anselm opened the final set well after Frano tabbed a service ace and Kocak swung into a pair of kills.
- East Stroudsburg obtained their first lead midway through the set as Allison Birtcil notched a decisive kill, putting the home team ahead, 16-11.
- Junior Abigail Macalaguim (Chula Vista, Calif.) took her turn serving up an ace for the Hawks to temporarily end the Warriors run, but the hosts compiled nine quick points that finalized the match.

- On the offensive front, Kocak led the squad with 10 kills paired with two blocks.
- Defensively, Macalaguim notched nine digs to go alongside a service ace and four kills.

HOW IT HAPPENED (vs. Jefferson 25-22, 25-22, 25-16 final.)
- Saint Anselm came out strong in their second match of the day, taking a quick 5-1 lead behind kills from Kocak and freshman Hannah Storm (Swansea, Mass.). Jefferson responded with a run of their own to tie the game at five points apiece.
- Saint Anselm found breathing room midway through the set and took a 15-11 advantage behind a combination of errors and another kill from Kocak. The Rams then capitalized off of some Hawks errors in addition to a kill from Pemi Areola.
- Jefferson eventually tied the first set up at 20-20 and then took a two-point lead after a pair of kills from Morgan Ritchie.
- Frano took on the response for Saint Anselm with a late kill, but the Rams' momentum was too much as they took the opening set, 25-22.
- The Hawks answered well early in the second set by taking a 5-0 behind a Macalaguim kill and service ace.
- The Hawks continued to maintain the lead until the back half of the set, where Morgan Martin and Liz Tanis took over for the Rams, helping bring them to a 23-19 advantage. Kocak notched a late block, but Jefferson took the second set, 25-22.
- The two sides exchanged points early in the third set. Macalaguim and Frano recorded early kills for Saint Anselm, while Martin and Emily McKenna tabbed kills for Jefferson.
- The Rams jumped out to a 13-6 lead as Areola and Caroline Bond combined for three kills, but freshman Taylor Lacerda (Franklin, Mass.) got on the board to stunt the Rams run and keep the Hawks alive.
- A late service ace from Frano was the last push from the Hawks as the Rams continued to dominate in their attacking stats, winning 25-16 off of three more kills in the final set.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Frano lead the offensive attack with eight kills, two aces and five digs.
- Sophomore Sam Pila (Melbourne, Australia) stuffed the stat sheet for the Hawks with nine assists, 17 digs, three kills, three blocks, and two service aces.
- As a team, the Hawks grabbed 26 kills, 55 digs, and had six service aces.
