About a minute after, Assumption responded by narrowing the Hawks lead back to one goal.
- Shortly after, the Greyhounds tied the game at 5-5 thanks to Jake DiNapoli with under eight minutes left in regulation. Saint Anselm earned another man advantage late in the period but three saves from Assumption goalie Callum Welch helped the Greyhounds kill off the Hawks power play.
