WINCHENDON, Mass. – Seniors
Hunter Brackett (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and
Max Burum (Marshfield, Mass.) each scored goals as the Saint Anselm College men's ice hockey team remained undefeated to start the season with a 2-1 win at Franklin Pierce on Friday evening.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Saint Anselm held a 30-24 advantage in shots on goal during the game. The Hawks recorded 14 shots in the second period, which is when both of their goals were scored.
- The Hawks also controlled the battle at the faceoff dot by winning 31 of 54 (57.4 percent), while the Ravens went 23 of 54 (42.6 percent).
- Senior Chase Reynolds (Middletown, Conn.) led Saint Anselm with 13 faceoff wins out of 17 attempts (76.5 percent).
- On the defensive side, Franklin Pierce blocked 12 shots in the game, while Saint Anselm blocked eight.
- Both teams combined to go 0/7 on the power play. Saint Anselm registered six shots on goal during the man advantage, while Franklin Pierce recorded four.
- Burum scored his first goal of the season, while Brackett netted his team-leading second goal of the year for the Hawks. Brackett and senior Mark Blaney (Braintree, Mass.) also added an assist apiece. Nick Fish scored the lone goal for the Ravens.
- Sophomore goaltender Cam Carroll (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) made 23 saves in goal for the Hawks, while Riley Mastowski made 28 stops between the pipes for the Ravens.
- This marked the 39th all-time meeting between Saint Anselm and Franklin Pierce. The Hawks improve to 32-6-1 against the Ravens in the series that began in 2003.
