HOW IT HAPPENED:

Franklin Pierce would find the largest lead of the quarter with 3-minutes remaining as Leana Heitmann would secure a pair of free throws giving the home team a 21-13 advantage. A transition bucket from MacNair and Katie Lemanski (Haymarket, Va.) would bring the Hawks back within five to close out the quarter.
- Saint Anselm would start the second quarter strong with freshman Addisen Sulikowski (Saco, Maine) cashed in from behind the arch bringing the game within one possession. A pair of lay-ups from MacNair would feed into Saint Anselm's first multiple possession lead, 35-29. The Ravens would look for a response firing from deep, but a strong post move from Hoyt kept the Hawks 5-point cushion going into halftime.
- The first run of the second half belonged to the Hawks as Hoyt took over giving them an 8-point lead quickly. With 2:40 left to go in the third Avery Romps (Greenland, N.H.) took a turn with the hot hand, nailing a pull-up jumper and a triple, giving Saint Anselm a 13-point advantage.
- Franklin Pierce attempted to gain some footing back to open the final 10 minutes of action bringing the game to within five as shots started to fall for the squad. Queue the Hoyt takeover.
