- Both teams demonstrated their defensive strength early in the second period as neither side registered a shot until the 22nd minute. - The Hawks offensive got rolling early in the third period with Breznyak drilling a shot on target that the Falcons goalkeeper Mia Trottie was able to save. Trottie picked up her second save of the night after denying a shot from junior Amanda Lewandowski (Franklin, Mass.).
- Saint Anselm produced two quick scoring chances in the opening minute of the fourth period with junior Ava Rayfield (Dover-Foxcroft, Maine) notching a shot on target followed by another from Breznyazk. The Falcons answered by firing two shots in the 47th minute of play, both getting blocked.

Sophomore Maggie Burchill (Braintree, Mass.) stepped up to take to corner and sent the ball to junior Chloe Kapsambelis (Merrimack, N.H.).
