MANCHESTER, N.H. – On Friday morning, the Saint Anselm College women's volleyball team announced its schedule for the 2023 season.

Braden Zamore who enters his ninth year for the 2023 season. The Hawks are looking to build from a promising 2022 season that saw the Hawks return to the NCAA Division II Volleyball Tournament. After posting a 9-3 Northeast-10 Conference (NE10) record, Saint Anselm secured the fifth seed facing off against Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) in the NE10 Quarterfinals. Although the Hawks fell in three sets to the Penmen, Saint Anselm earned a berth into the NCAA Division II Volleyball Tournament for the fourth time under Zamore's guidance.
At the 2022 NCAA Division II East Region Championship, the Hawks grabbed a straight-set win over the 2021 East Region Champion's Daemen (N.Y.) University in the quarterfinals. The victory marked the first-ever straight-sets win in the NCAA postseason for the program, which was making its second appearance in the semifinal round. Saint Anselm battled crosstown rivals SNHU in the East Region Semifinal but saw their 2022 season end after falling by a final score of 3-1. The Hawks finished the year with a 21-10 overall record, matching the 2019 squad for the most victories in a single season in program history. Additionally, Saint Anselm started the year by winning 19 consecutive sets, setting a new program record, and helping the team reach a quick 7-0 record to start the 2022 season.
The Hawks will kick off their 2023 campaign on Saturday, September 2nd for the Saint Anselm/SNHU Tournament. The team will host Franklin Pierce University on Tuesday, September 26th for their first NE10 Conference match of the season. Other notable contests this season include Bentley on September 30th, Adelphi on October 28th, and Southern New Hampshire on October 31st.
