SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) announced Wednesday its yearly All-Academic teams, honoring NCAA bowling teams and student-athletes for exemplary work in the classroom.

Saint Anselm was among the list of programs recognized as a team, while junior Alexis Miller (Denver, Pa.) earned individual distinction for her efforts.

In order to qualify for the award, programs must post a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher during the academic year. Individuals must post a 3.4 cumulative GPA to be recognized. A total of 285 honorees and 57 NCAA programs earned honors for the 2022-23 academic year.

The Hawks posted a 10-65 record in their first season as a varsity sport offering on the Hilltop. Saint Anselm collected its first-ever win on November 19th against Virginia State at the Lady Eagles Invitational, taking the game by a 740-491 score in traditional scoring. In four of the seven tournaments played this season, Saint Anselm posted at least two game wins at each tournament.

Individually, Miller turned in a 205 at the Northeast Region Roundup on March 18th, the sophomore's highest score as a member of the Hawks bowling program.
