MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's tennis team is back in action on Tuesday, Apr. 4 in a non-conference match against The College of Holy Cross.
The match is slated for a 4 p.m. start from the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility in Worcester, Mass.

The Hawks dropped both matches they played in Florida, falling to Atlantis University in an exhibition match before suffering a 7-0 loss to No. 2 nationally, Nova Southeastern University. The team sits at 4-10 on the season and will host American International College in a non-conference match from the Saint Anselm Tennis Courts on Saturday, Apr. 15 following the trip to Holy Cross.
The Crusaders dropped to 3-7 on the season and 0-4 in Patriot League matches with a 4-0 loss to Lafayette on Mar. 26. Following the battle with Saint Anselm, Holy Cross will host both Assumption and Nichols on Wednesday, Apr. 12 and Thursday, Apr. 13.
HAWKS NOTES
- Three new doubles tandems took the court for the Hawks on their Florida swing, with the sister duo of sophomores Abigail Svor (Lewiston, Maine) and Julia Svor (Lewiston, Maine) posting Saint Anselm's best result at No. 2 doubles (3-6) in the exhibition with Atlantis.
- In singles play against nationally-ranked Nova Southeastern, sophomore Julia Casaletto (Rowley, Mass.) and Abigail Svor picked up points in their matches at No. 6 and No. 4 respectively.
- Freshman Irene Garbo (Assemini, Sardinia, Italy) leads the Hawks with eight singles wins this season, all coming from the #1 flight. Garbo is tied for eighth all-time in program history for wins at No. 1 singles in a single season.
- Freshman Camila Heredia Osante (Oaxaca, Mexico) has posted a 6-2 record in her first season on the Hilltop in singles from the No. 5 spot. Heredia Osante has posted seven wins on the academic year.
- Heredia Osante and Abigail Svor has won a team-high seven doubles matches as a pair in 2022-23. Garbo and sophomore Olivia Parzick (Bow, N.H.) follow closely with six wins in doubles play.
- Saint Anselm has three non-conference matches left on its schedule following the battle with the Crusaders, two of which are slated to be played at the Saint Anselm Tennis Courts.
SCOUTING HOLY CROSS
- Maddie Hamm leads Holy Cross with a 5-2 record in singles play this season. Four of Hamm's wins have come at No. 6 singles.
- Courtney Kallas and Ashley Zilora have four singles wins apiece in 2022-23. Kallas has picked up singles wins at No. 3, No. 4, and No. 5 while Zilora has played all her singles matches at No. 2.
- The doubles tandems of Zilora and Ahana Nagarkatti, Caroline Carlson and Jasmine Rahman, and Katie Nossa and Lindsay Riordan have two wins apiece in doubles play this season, which is tied for the most on the roster.
- Since downing American International on Feb. 18, the Crusaders have dropped each of their last six matches. Four of those matches have come in Patriot League action.
ALL-TIME vs. HOLY CROSS
- Holy Cross has won each of the previous 14 matchups with Saint Anselm in women's tennis.
- This will be the second meeting of the 2022-23 season and the second coming from the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility.
- The Crusaders took that match on Sept. 24 by a 5-2 score.
