MANCHESTER, N.H. – The nationally-ranked Saint Anselm College men's lacrosse team concluded its 2023 regular season with a 15-13 Senior Day win over Assumption University on Tuesday.
With the win, the Hawks enter the Northeast-10 Conference postseason with an 8-3 record and a 7-3 mark in conference games while the Greyhounds see their season come to a close at 4-10 overall and 2-8 in league games. Saint Anselm entered play on Tuesday ranked No. 15 in the most recent United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division II National Poll.

Senior
Jack Andrews (Cumberland, R.I.) and junior
Noah Larsen (Northborough, Mass.) netted three goals each in the contest while senior
Jack Robinson (Wilbraham, Mass.), sophomore
Colin Mulvey (Reading, Mass.), and sophomore
Will Andrews (Cumberland, R.I.) scored a pair of goals each.
Senior
David Olsen (Salem, N.H.) turned aside 10 shots on goal in his eighth win of the season. Olsen has now made double-digit saves in three games in 2023.
The Greyhounds jumped out to an early 3-0 lead as
Ryan Healey and
Sam Maciel combined to give the visitors the lead with 9:08 left in the first quarter.
The Hawks would reply with a six-goal run in the opening 15 minutes of action to hold a 6-3 lead. Freshman

Charlie Dean (North Andover, Mass.), and Larsen netted one goal each on the scoring run.
The sides traded goals throughout the second quarter and back-to-back goals from Healey would cut the Hawks lead to one at 8-7 but a pair of last-minute goals from Larsen and
Jack Andrews reestablished the three-goal lead for the Hawks, who led 10-7 at the half.
The Greyhounds potted two goals early in the third but Larsen netted his second of the game at 5:40 which gave Saint Anselm an 11-9 advantage. However, Assumption scored each of the next three goals to take a 12-11 lead with 13:22 left in the fourth quarter.
After one goal went to each side, Saint Anselm would score each of the game's final three goals with a pair of Mulvey goals sandwiching a tally from
Jack Andrews to give the Hawks the 15-13 regular season finale win.
Saint Anselm held a 53-37 advantage in shot attempts including a 28-23 edge in shots on goal. The Hawks were 15-for-16 in clear attempts compared to 13-of-19 for the Greyhounds.
Senior
Craig Yannone (Lynnfield, Mass.) won a game-high 16 faceoffs and collected nine ground balls in the contest. Saint Anselm collected 47 ground balls as a team compared to 24 for Assumption.
The Hawks will be back in action on Saturday, Apr. 29 in an NE10 First Round game at No. 11 nationally-ranked Pace University. The contest is slated for a 4 p.m. start from Pleasantville, N.Y.
