MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's tennis team is set for its final two home matches of the 2022-23 regular season.
The Hawks will host American International College on Saturday, Apr. 15 before battling Daemen University (N.Y.) on Monday, Apr. 17, both from the Saint Anselm Tennis Courts.

The Hawks suffered a 7-0 loss to The College of Holy Cross on Apr. 4, marking their most recent match. Saint Anselm sits at 4-11 on the season with a 3-5 record in Northeast-10 Conference play. Following the pair of home matches, Saint Anselm is slated to head to Colby-Sawyer College for its final match of the regular season on Friday, Apr. 21.
The Yellow Jackets dropped to 1-11 on the season with a 7-0 defeat to the University of New Haven on Apr. 12. The match on the Hilltop is the final scheduled match for American International this season.
The Wildcats improved to 5-11 on the season after downing Shenandoah University, 7-2. The team has two matches slated before coming to the Queen City as Daemen will host D'Youville on Friday, Apr. 14 before heading to Franklin Pierce University on Sunday, Apr. 16.
HAWKS NOTES
- Sophomores Julia Svor (Lewiston, Maine), Abigail Svor (Lewiston, Maine), and Olivia Parzick (Bow, N.H.) and freshman Camila Heredia Osante (Oaxaca, Mexico) all posted two or more game wins for the Hawks in singles action against Holy Cross.
- Freshmen Irene Garbo (Assemini, Sardinia, Italy) has posted an 8-4 record in her first season on the Hilltop. Garbo is tied for eighth all-time in program history for wins at No. 1 singles in a single season.
- Heredia Osante is 7-7 in singles play in 2022-23 and has posted a 6-2 record from No. 5 singles.
- Julia Svor, Abigail Svor, and Parzick have all grabbed two wins apiece for the Hawks this season in singles play.
- The doubles tandems of Heredia Osante and Abigail Svor and Parzick and Garbo have collected seven wins and six wins each in doubles play. Heredia Osante and Svor have won six of their matches at No. 3 doubles while Parzick and Garbo have played all theirs at No. 1 doubles.
SCOUTING AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL
- The Yellow Jackets are 1-11 on the season and own a 0-5 record in NE10 play. The team carries a 0-4 record in matches played at home compared to a 1-7 record when playing on the road.
- The team captured its first win of the season on Apr. 5, downing Assumption by a 4-1 score.
- In doubles, AIC's top pair of Natalija Vlacic and Victoria Azcona were able to earn a 6-2 win while Maria Cedeno and Charlotte Tvelia won second doubles to secure the doubles point for the Yellow Jackets over the Greyhounds.
- All four singles matches went to a third set with Vlacic, Tvelia, and Azcona picking up wins in singles in that match.
SCOUTING DAEMEN (N.Y.)
- Kitsa Scime owns a 13-6 record in singles, which leads the Wildcats roster. Scime owns a 10-4 record from No. 2 singles and is 3-1 in tournament play in 2022-23.
- Carly Armitage and Yinett Del Leon have won seven singles matches apiece with Mackenzie Schayes and Frida Rubio with six wins each.
- The pair of Rubio and Scime lead the Daemen doubles pairs with seven wins, six of which have come at No. 1 doubles.
- Armitage and Del Leon are second with five wins while Schayes and Ailish McDevitt are third with four, all coming from No. 3 doubles.
- In the team's most recent match against Shenandoah, Rubio and Scime and Armitage and Del Leon picked up doubles wins while five of six Wildcats grabbed wins in singles action.
ALL-TIME vs. AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL, DAEMEN (N.Y.)
- Saint Anselm holds a 35-1 advantage over American International after opening the all-time series against the Yellow Jackets with 28 consecutive victories.
- The teams were scheduled to meet on Oct. 8, 2022 but that match was canceled.
- This will be the first-ever meeting between the Hawks and Wildcats.
