MANCHESTER, N.H. – The nationally-ranked Saint Anselm College men's lacrosse team hosts American International College on Tuesday, Apr. 11 before heading to Saint Michael's College on Saturday, Apr. 15, both in Northeast-10 Conference play.

The Hawks jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, downing in-state foe Franklin Pierce University by a 17-7 score on Apr. 5, marking the team's most recent contest. Saint Anselm enters the two-game week as winners of each of their last three games and are sitting at 5-2 with a 4-2 record in conference play. The Hawks will head to Pace University following the trip to Colchester, Vt. on Wednesday, Apr. 19 for their final regular season road game of the 2023 season.

The Yellow Jackets were doubled up by Southern New Hampshire on Apr. 8, 16-8. With the loss, American International dropped its eighth consecutive game and fell to 2-9 overall and 0-6 against the NE10. After making the trip to the Queen City, the Yellow Jackets will host the top ranked program in the country, Le Moyne College, on Friday, Apr. 14.

The Purple Knights fell to No. 2 Adelphi University on Apr. 8 by a 12-7 score. With the loss, Saint Michael's dropped to 4-4 on the season and 1-4 in NE10 play. The team will head to Franklin Pierce o Tuesday, Apr. 11 before hosting Saint Anselm on Saturday.

HAWKS NOTES
  • Saturday's game at Saint Michael's will be the 400th in the history of the men's lacrosse program at Saint Anselm. The Hawks all-time own a record of 187-211 in men's lacrosse.
  • Junior Noah Larsen (Northborough, Mass.) leads the Hawks roster with 22 points this season on nine goals and a team-high 13 assists. Larsen is tied for 12th in the NE10 in assists.
  • In 34 career games, Larsen has scored 45 goals and assisted on 42 others for 87 points. The junior needs 13 points to reach the 100-career points mark.
  • Senior Jack Andrews (Cumberland, R.I.) follows Larsen closely with 21 points, coming from a team-high 17 goals and four assists.
  • Andrews needs just five goals to reach the 100 mark for his career. He would become just the seventh student-athlete in program history to hit the century mark in goals scored.
  • Senior Jack Robinson (Wilbraham, Mass.) is second on the squad in goals (12) and assists (6) but ranks third in points with 18.
  • Freshman Charlie Dean (North Andover, Mass.) was named the conference's Rookie of the Week on Monday after recording his first collegiate multi-goal game against the Ravens.
  • Senior Craig Yannone (Lynnfield, Mass.) has won a team-high 48-of-93 faceoffs this season and has collected a team-high 27 ground balls. Freshman Quinn Gannon (Scituate, Mass.) has posted 37 faceoffs win and grabbed 24 ground balls to rank second on the team in both categories.
  • Junior Jonathan Holland (Derry, N.H.) leads the Saint Anselm defense with 11 caused turnovers this season. Senior Henry Alford (Southborough, Mass.) follows closely with 10 caused turnovers.
  • Senior David Olsen (Salem, N.H.) has started in all seven games for the Hawks this season. Olsen owns a 7.31 goals-against average, which is third best in the conference, and a 0.547 save percentage, totaling 58 saves on 106 shots on goal.
  • The Hawks are, at the time of writing, tied for fourth in the NE10 standings with Pace. The top-six seeds in the conference standings will advance to postseason tournament which is set to begin on Saturday, Apr. 29.
SCOUTING AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL
  • Rusty Stone leads the Yellow Jackets offense with 21 goals and 23 points in 11 games this season. Stone has been credited with two assists in 2023.
  • Devon Walker and Jason Vickery are tied for second on the team with 11 goals apiece. Walker has added six assists to bring him to 17 points, which are second most on the roster, while Vickery is third with 16 points.
  • Dylan Seymour leads the American International offense with 10 assists in 2023. He has netted five goals, bringing him to 15 points which is fourth on the squad.
  • Nick Mackay has been credited 62-of-182 faceoff wins this season and leads the Yellow Jackets with 37 ground ball pickups. Clark Marchand leads the defense with 20 caused turnovers.
  • Hayden Gaudette has started in all 11 games for American International in the cage. He owns an 11.75 goals-against average and a 0.524 save percentage. Gaudette leads the NE10 with 132 saves on the season.
SCOUTING SAINT MICHAEL'S
  • Drew Collins and Sebastian Simonson rank first and second on the Purple Knights roster in points with Collins leading at 39 and Simonson at 38.
  • Simonson leads the squad with 23 goals scored and is second with 15 assists while Collins is second in goals at 22 and leads the roster with 17 helpers.
  • Max Katavolos is third on the Purple Knights with 15 goals and 19 points.
  • Cooper Wilson has won 88-of-190 faceoffs for Saint Michael's and has grabbed a team-high 49 ground balls. Rocky Grillone is the team leader with 11 caused turnovers and is second in ground balls at 18.
  • Sean Regan has started in all eight games from the goal for Saint Michael's. Regan has a 13.57 goals-against average and a 0.556 save percentage with a total of 80 saves.
ALL-TIME vs. AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL, SAINT MICHAEL'S
  • The Hawks enjoy a 24-3 record all-time against the Yellow Jackets. Tuesday's meeting will be the 28th in the series.
  • The programs last met on Apr. 12, 2022 in Springfield, Mass. Saint Anselm came away with a 19-3 win in that contest and have won each of the last 23 matchups with American International.
  • The Purple Knights and Hawks have met 33 times, which is the most of any opponent for Saint Anselm. Saint Michael's holds an 18-15 advantage in the series.
  • Saint Anselm downed the Purple Knights by a 20-7 margin on Apr. 16, 2022, which extended the Hawks win streak to seven in the series.
