MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Saint Anselm College women's ice hockey team overcame two-third period deficits to battle to a 4-4 tie against in-state foe Franklin Pierce University on Friday.
The Hawks move to 12-14-3 with the tie and to 11-5-3 in New England Women's Hockey Alliance contests. The Ravens are now 10-12-3 overall and 7-7-3 in league contests. The teams conclude their home-and-home series on Saturday, Jan. 28 with a 7:30 p.m. opening puck drop from Winchendon, Mass.

Brooklyn Pancoast (Helena, Mont.) netted two goals in the tilt with senior co-captain
Gabrielle Huson (Edina, Minn.) and sophomore
Audrey Jackson (Shoreview, Minn.) adding one goal each. Sophomore
Tyra Turner (Andover, Minn.) collected a helper on three of the Hawks goals and graduate student co-captain
Kelly Golini (Tewksbury, Mass.) adding two assists.

Allie Kelley (East Berne, N.Y.) on the power play to knot the score at two at 6:12 of the final regulation period.
The Ravens took their first lead of the game nearly six minutes later on tally from
Stefanie Caban.
Just 41 seconds later, Huson cleaned up a rebound following a Golini shot to push the score at three. That marked Huson's first goal of the 2022-23 campaign.
Claire Casey regained the Ravens lead when she converted on a nearly no-angle shot from the goal line at 17:02. However, Pancoast responded with her second of the game on the power play at 18:13 to tie the score at four.
In the extra frame, the Hawks held a 7-5 edge in shots on goal and had the best scoring chance which came in a flurry late in the period. Huson fired a shot from the point with Jackson nearly capitalizing on the rebound chance.
Earlier in the contest, the Hawks needed just 19 seconds of play to crack the scoreboard. Jackson grabbed an outlet pass from Turner in the neutral zone and beat the defenders to get in on a breakaway, which she converted on.
Pancoast fired a wrist shot into the upper right of the goal from the top of the slot to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead in the final minute of the first period.
Mikayla Kelley cut the Hawks lead to one at 6:57 of the second frame to start the three-goal run for Franklin Pierce.
The Hawks held a 49-43 advantage in shots on goal. Both sides netted one power play goal in the contest as the Hawks were one-for-four while the Ravens were one-for-five. Both sides won 33 faceoffs in the contest. Golini led all skaters with 20 wins from the dots.
Kelley turned aside 39 of 43 shots on goal for the Hawks while her counterpart
Jill Hertl posted 45 stops for the Ravens.
