MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's ice hockey team battles in-state foe Franklin Pierce in a New England Women's Hockey Alliance home-and-home series on Friday, Jan. 27 and Saturday, Jan. 28.
Friday's opening puck drop from Sullivan Arena is slated for a 4 p.m. opening puck drop before the Hawks skate in their final road game of the 2022-23 regular season on Saturday. That contest is slated for a 7:30 p.m. start from the Jason Ritchie Ice Arena in Winchendon, Mass.

The Hawks split their home-and-home series with Stonehill College on Jan. 20 and Jan. 21. Saint Anselm captured a 5-3 win in Bridgewater, Mass. on Friday before the Skyhawks posted an 8-3 result on Saturday, pushing the Hawks 12-14-2 on the season with an 11-5-2 record in NEWHA play. The Hawks are second in the NEWHA standings with 24 points. Following the two games with the Ravens, Saint Anselm hosts Saint Michael's College on Friday, Feb. 3 and Saturday, Feb. 4.
The Ravens took both games from Saint Michael's on Jan. 20 and Jan. 21 by 2-0 and 4-1 scores. Franklin Pierce sits at 10-12-2 overall and 7-7-2 in NEWHA battles, good for 16 points which puts them in fifth in the league standings. Franklin Pierce will host Sacred Heart University on Friday, Feb. 3 and Saturday, Feb. 4 following the series with Saint Anselm.
HAWKS NOTES
- Graduate student Kelly Golini (Tewksbury, Mass.) went for three points (1G, 2A) in the series with the Skyhawks, bringing her to 30 points this season. Golini is tied for the top spot in the NEWHA in points while sitting in a tie for second in goals (15) and holding the league lead with 15 assists.
- Junior Natalie Tulchinsky (Clifton Park, N.Y.) is third in the NEWHA with 29 points and is tied with Golini for second in goals scored. Tulchinsky is second in the league with 14 helpers.
- Sophomore Tyra Turner (Andover, Minn.) netted a power play goal and a shorthanded goal against Stonehill while adding an assist to go for three points in the home-and-home series. Turner has 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points, all of which rank inside the top-five in the NEWHA.
- Sophomore Audrey Jackson (Shoreview, Minn.) ranks fifth in the NEWHA with 12 assists. She has found the twine seven times this season, bringing her to 19 points on the year.
- Senior goaltender Allie Kelley (East Berne, N.Y.) leads all of the National Collegiate level with 906 total saves this season. Kelley has a 3.25 goals-against average and a 0.911 save percentage in 27 starts this season.
- The Saint Anselm power play has netted 17 goals in 115 power play chances, good for a 14.8% conversion rate. The penalty kill sits at 79.5% after allowing 24 goals in 117 times shorthanded.
SCOUTING FRANKLIN PIERCE
- Jenna Ruiz leads the Ravens offense with 19 points. Ruiz holds the top spot on the team with 11 goals scored while sitting in a tie for the roster lead with eight helpers.
- Avery Farrell follows closely with 17 points coming from nine goals and eight assists. Farrell is tied for first with Ruiz in assists while ranking second in both goals and points.
- Mikayla Kelley and Stefanie Caban join Ruiz and Farrell in double-digit points. Kelley has 12 points from seven goals and five assists while Caban has three goals and seven assists for 10 points.
- Jill Hertl has started 19 games in the goal for Franklin Pierce. She is 9-8-2 on the season with a 1.96 goals-against average and a 0.924 save percentage. Hertl was named the NEWHA Goaltender of the Week on Jan. 23. Hertl leads the NEWHA in goals-against average while ranking fourth in the league in save percentage.
- The Ravens are 16-for-89 on the power play, converting with the extra skater at 18.0%. The penalty kill has been shorthanded on 97 occasions and has allowed 13 goals, killing off its penalties at 86.6%.
ALL-TIME vs. FRANKLIN PIERCE
- The Hawks and Ravens will be meeting for the 35th and 36th times in the all-time on Friday and Saturday. Saint Anselm enjoys 25-8-1 record against Franklin Pierce in women's ice hockey.
- The teams split their home-and-home series on Nov. 11 and Nov. 12 with the Hawks grabbing a 5-2 win on Nov. 11 in Winchendon, Mass. The Ravens responded with a 2-0 win the following day from Sullivan Arena.
