MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's ice hockey team battles Stonehill College in a home-and-home series on Friday, Jan. 20 and Saturday, Jan. 21.
The pair of games will conclude the regular season four-game series between the two programs. Friday's opening puck drop is set for 5 p.m. from Bridgewater, Mass. while Saturday's contest is scheduled for 3 p.m. from the friendly confines of Sullivan Arena.

The Hawks last played on Jan. 10 and suffered a 6-0 loss to nationally-ranked Yale in the team's non-conference finale. Saint Anselm is now 11-13-2 on the season and owns a 10-4-2 mark in New England Women's Hockey Alliance play. Saint Anselm is currently second in the NEWHA standings with 22 points. Following the two-game set with the Skyhawks, Saint Anselm will play a home-and-home series with Franklin Pierce on Friday, Jan. 27 and Saturday, Jan. 28.
The Skyhawks took both games from the Ravens on Jan. 13 and Jan. 14 by 6-3 and 4-1 scores, improving to 12-12-1 overall and to 9-7-0 in NEWHA battles. Stonehill currently sits in fourth in the league standings at 18 points. The team will play a pair of games at Post on Friday, Jan. 27 and Saturday, Jan. 28 to close out the month of January.
HAWKS NOTES
- Junior Natalie Tulchinsky (Clifton Park, N.Y.) leads the NEWHA with 29 points. Her 15 goals are second in the league while her 14 assists are the top in the NEWHA.
- Graduate student Kelly Golini (Tewksbury, Mass.) follows closely with 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 points. The co-captain is second in the league in points, third in goals, and tied for second in assists.
- Golini currently ranks seventh all-time in women's ice hockey program history with 104 career points. She can surpass Kathryn Picarello '13 who is sixth with 106 career points. Golini's 54 career goals rank fifth all-time and her 50 assists are good for 14th.
- Sophomore Tyra Turner (Andover, Minn.) is third on the team with 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points, ranking third on the team in all three metrics.
- After blocking five shots against the Bulldogs, senior Kenadie Cooper (San Tan Valley, Ariz.) was named to the NEWHA weekly honor roll which was released on Jan. 17. Copper ranks third on the team in blocked shots (35), trailing senior Gabrielle Huson (Edina, Minn.) and junior Savannah Popick (South Windsor, Conn.) who have 44 and 41 respectively.
- Senior alternate captain Allie Kelley (East Berne, N.Y.) owns a 3.07 goals-against average and a 0.916 save percentage this season. Kelley has stopped 841 shots on goal this season which are the most at the National Collegiate level this season.
- Kelley has 25 career wins for the Hawks which puts her in a tie for sixth all-time with Michaela Kane '20. Kelley was named to the Hockey Commissioners Association Goalie of the Year "Watch List".
- The Hawks power play has netted 15 goals in 106 opportunities, good for a 14.2% conversion rate. The penalty kill has been shorthanded on 108 occasions and has allowed 21 goals, operating at 80.6%.
SCOUTING STONEHILL
- Alexis Petford ranks third in the league with 26 points. Petford has netted 17 goals, which leads the NEWHA. She has nine assists which is good for a tie for ninth in the league.
- Lily Geist went for five points in the pair of wins over Franklin Pierce, which earned her the NEWHA Rookie of the Week honors on Jan. 17. Geist has netted six goals and added three assists for nine points this season.
- Maddison Achtyl ranks second on the Skyhawks roster with seven goals this season with Geist and three other student-athletes sitting in a tie for third at six goals apiece.
- Paige Whaley ranks second on the team with 14 points. Whaley is tied with Bailey Feeney for second on the squad with eight helpers.
- Hanna Zukow, a Hockey Commissioners Association Goalie of the Year "Watch List" selection, has started 16 games in the Skyhawks goal. She is 9-7-1 with a 2.46 goals-against average and a 0.921 save percentage. Zukow ranks fourth in goals-against average and fifth in save percentage when compared to other NEWHA goaltenders.
- The Skyhawks power play sits at 14.5% having netted 12 goals in 83 chances. The penalty kill has been shorthanded 98 times and has allowed 21 goals, good for a 78.6% kill rate.
ALL-TIME vs. STONEHILL
- The Hawks and Skyhawks have met twice in the all-time series. Saint Anselm posted wins in both of those games which came earlier this season on Nov. 4 and Nov. 5.
- Saint Anselm grabbed a 4-3 win in overtime on Nov. 4 from Sullivan Arena in the first ever meeting between the programs before posting a 3-1 win the following day from the Bridgewater Ice Arena in Bridgewater, Mass.
