MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's soccer team will host Bentley University on Tuesday, Sept. 27 before heading to nationally-ranked The College of Saint Rose on Saturday, Oct. 1.
Both contests will be rematches from last season Northeast-10 Conference Championship as the Hawks battled the Falcons in the Quarterfinals, posting a 1-0 victory but fell to the Golden Knights in the Semifinals.

The Hawks suffered a 3-2 loss to the University of New Haven on Sept. 24. With the loss, Saint Anselm drops to 6-3-0 overall and 2-3-0 in NE10 matches. Following the battle with the Golden Knights from Albany, N.Y., Saint Anselm will host American International College on Saturday, Oct. 8 with the opening kickoff slated for 3 p.m.
The Falcons had posted consecutive wins before hosting Saint Rose on Sept. 24, dropping that match by a 3-1 score. Bentley is now 3-3-2 on the season and 2-2-0 in league tilts. The Falcons head to Franklin Pierce University on Friday, Sept. 30 for a 6 p.m. start in Rindge, N.H.
The Golden Knights are unbeaten through its first nine games this season, grabbing a win over Bentley in their last time out. The team will battle Assumption on Tuesday, Sept. 27 before hosting the Hawks. Saint Rose is 7-0-2 this season with a 3-0-2 mark in conference games.
HAWKS NOTES
- The Hawks are ranked ninth in the most recent United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll.
- Sophomore Erin Rutherford (Ashburnham, Mass.) had a hand in each of the Hawks goals at New Haven. She assisted on the first Saint Anselm goal before netting the second. She now has one goal and is tied for the team lead with three assists, bringing her points total to five which is tied for third-most on the squad.
- Sophomore Josie Pecor (Williston, Vt.) leads Saint Anselm with four goals and 11 points while sitting in a tie for the top spot in assists. Pecor enters the Bentley match on a three-game point streak, having scored two goals and added an assist on the run.
- Junior Olivia Gotobed (North Andover, Mass.) is tied for second on the Hawks with two goals scored and is tied for the team lead with three assists which puts her in second on the team with seven points.
- The trio is tied for fourth in the conference in assists while Pecor is tied for third in goals and ranks second in points.
- Freshman Emma Hudson (Kingston, Mass.) has started in all nine games for the Hawks this season and owns a 1.24 goals-against average and a 0.776 save percentage. She has totaled 38 saves in her first season on the Hilltop which is fourth most in the conference.
- As a team, Saint Anselm has netted 18 goals which is third most in the NE10. The Hawks hold an 18-12 edge in goals scored over their opponents.
SCOUTING BENTLEY
- Brooke Jones and Liliana Silva are tied for the Falcons lead with three goals each. Jones and Silva make up six of nine goals scored this season by Bentley.
- Jones has added a helper this year to bring her points total to seven which is a team-high.
- Bridget Gleason leads the team with three assists this season. Gleason's three points are tied for third on the team.
- Claire Ewen has started all eight games for the Falcons in 2022. She owns a 3-3-1 record with a 1.07 goals-against average and a 0.830 save percentage. Her save percentage is fourth in the conference and her 39 total saves are third-most.
- Bentley has netted nine goals and has allowed just nine goals. All three of their wins have been shutouts.
SCOUTING SAINT ROSE
- The Golden Knights are ranked 11th in the most recent United Soccer Coaches National Poll and are second in the East Region.
- Kaelyn Britt is tied with Pecor for third in the conference with four goals scored this season. Britt also leads the Golden Knights with eight points.
- Mia Klammer ranks second on the squad with seven points, coming from two goals and three assists. Klammer's three assists are tied for the team lead.
- Sanna Rein joins Klammer with three helpers while Janina Mueller has netted three goals this season.
- Pia Bozic has started all nine games for Saint Rose this season. Bozic totaled 25 saves through nine matches and owns a 0.51 goals-against average and a 0.862 save percentage, both of which lead the conference.
ALL-TIME vs. BENTLEY, SAINT ROSE
- The Hawks and Falcons will be meeting for the 33rd time on Tuesday. Saint Anselm is 19-10-3 all-time against Bentley.
- Last season, the programs met twice with Bentley capturing a 2-1 win in the regular season finale on Nov. 3.
- Saint Anselm grabbed its first conference postseason win since the 2006 season on Nov. 7 as they posted a 1-0 win in the Quarterfinals of the NE10 Championship. Gotobed netted a goal in the opening minutes which proved to be the game-winning tally.
- Saint Rose owns a 16-4-4 record against Saint Anselm all-time, making Saturday's match the 25th meeting.
- The Golden Knights took both matches last season including a 3-2 win in overtime from Melucci Field on Sept. 12.
- The teams battled in the NE10 Semifinals in Albany, N.Y. with that match going in favor of the Golden Knights by a 5-0 score on Nov. 11.
