MANCHESTER, N.H. – The regionally-ranked Saint Anselm College women's soccer team is set to battle Saint Michael's College and the University of New Haven on Wednesday, Sept. 21 and Saturday, Sept. 24.
The Hawks, who are ranked ninth in the most recent United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll, will host the Purple Knights from Melucci Field on Wednesday at 4 p.m. before making the trip to New Haven on Saturday.

The Hawks grabbed their first win in Northeast-10 Conference action on Sept. 17 over Le Moyne by a 3-1 score. Saint Anselm is now 5-2-0 overall and 1-2-0 in league contests. After this week's matches, the Hawks will battle Bentley in a rematch of last season's NE10 Quarterfinal match, which went the Hawks' way by a 1-0 score.
The Purple Knights suffered a 1-0 loss at Adelphi on Sept. 17, following a scoreless draw against nationally-ranked Saint Rose. Saint Michael's is 1-2-2 entering the match at Saint Anselm and is 0-2-1 in NE10 play. The team will host Le Moyne on Saturday, Sept. 24.
The Chargers fell to Bentley in their last match on Sept. 17 by a 3-0 score. The team will play Pace on Wednesday, Sept. 21 before hosting the Hawks. New Haven is 2-4-2 overall this season with a 0-3-0 record against NE10 opponents this season.
HAWKS NOTES
- Junior Olivia Gotobed (North Andover, Mass.), sophomores Josie Pecor (Williston, Vt.) and Faith Lee (North Andover, Mass.), and freshman Kayli Porter (Wakefield, Mass.) are tied for the team lead with two goals each.
- Pecor has a team-high three assists to go with her two goals, bringing her to seven points in 2022. Sophomore Erin Rutherford (Ashburnham, Mass.) has two helpers while seven other student-athletes have one assist each this season.
- Freshman Emma Hudson (Kingston, Mass.) has started in all seven games in the goal for the Hawks this season. Hudson owns a 1.02 goals-against average and a 0.794 save percentage with 27 total saves. Hudson's total saves ranks third in the NE10.
- The Hawks hold a 14-to-8 edge in scoring margin over their opponents this season.
- When compared to the NE10, Saint Anselm is inside the top-five in shots (99), goals scored (14), shots per game (14.1), shots on goal (50), and assists (12).
SAINT MICHAEL'S NOTES
- Kayleigh Crowell and Sam Page have netted one goal each this season. As a team, the Purple Knights have scored just two goals but have allowed just two through five games.
- Crowell leads the team with three points, adding one assist to her goal. Katie Marullo and Claire Williams have one assist each this season.
- Williams leads Saint Michael's with 11 shots attempted and seven shots on target.
- Katie Escobedo has started in all five games for the Purple Knights this season and has a 0.40 goals-against average and a 0.882 save percentage. Escobedo ranks second in the conference in goals against (2), goals-against average, and save percentage.
NEW HAVEN NOTES
- The Chargers have scored five goals this season coming from five different goals scorers. The team also has five student-athletes with one assist each in 2022.
- Ellish Linnehan and Mackenzie Myers are tied for the team lead with three points each, scoring one goal and assisting on one other each.
- Madison Blonde and Dakota Cimetta have attempted 15 and 12 shots each which rank first and second on the team. Both student-athletes have netted one goal each.
- Amanda McQuillan has drawn a start in all eight games for the Chargers. McQuillan has a 1.25 goals-against average and a 0.783 save percentage. She has stopped 36 shots on goal which is second most in the NE10.
ALL-TIME vs. SAINT MICHAEL'S, NEW HAVEN
- This will be the 40th meeting all-time between the Hawks and Purple Knights. Saint Anselm enjoys a 24-8-7 record against Saint Michael's in women's soccer.
- Saint Anselm is unbeaten in the last 13 meetings (9-0-4) with Saint Michael's. Senior Kathryn White (Georgetown, Mass.) converted on a penalty kick in last season's match to give the Hawks a 1-0 win.
- The Hawks and Chargers will be battling for the 23rd time on Saturday. Saint Anselm is 10-9-3 against New Haven.
- Saint Anselm is 4-0-1 in the last five matches against New Haven, including a 4-0 win from Melucci Field last season. Gotobed netted a pair of first-half goals to help Saint Anselm pull away in that meeting.
