SCOUTING SAINT ANSELM

  • Freshman Camila Heredia Osante (Oaxaca, Mexico) was selected as the Northeast-10 Conference's Rookie of the Week on Tuesday. Heredia Osante was a perfect 4-0 this past week, debuting against NCAA Division I Stonehill and one of the region's top Division III teams in Roger Williams.
  • Versus Stonehill, Heredia Osante battled back from a 6-2 deficit to post a three-set victory at No. 5 singles before cruising to a 6-0, 6-3 singles win against Roger Williams. She was also part of two doubles wins at the No. 3 flight, partnering with sophomore Abigail Svor (Lewiston, Maine).
  • Heredia Osante is the first from Saint Anselm to win weekly rookie honors from the NE10 since Svor on Apr. 6, 2022.
  • Freshman Irene Garbo (Assemini, Sardinia, Italy) owns a 1-1 record for the Hawks at No. 1 singles with her only loss coming against NCAA Division I Stonehill. Facing Cristina Solorzano Valencia, who ranked No. 4 in the final Oracle/ITA Division II East Region singles rankings in 2021-22, Garbo lost in three sets.
  • Four of the first five matches for Saint Anselm will be played on the newly-resurfaced courts on campus.

SCOUTING PLYMOUTH STATE

  • The Panthers own a 1-0 record, easing past Salem State by a 7-2 margin on Saturday, Sept. 10.
  • In that match against the Vikings, Plymouth State secured two of the three doubles matches before winning all but the No. 2 singles match.
  • Senior Megan Marshall was a two-time winner, notching wins at No. 1 doubles and No. 1 singles.
  • Head Coach Kathy Peverly earned her first career victory with the Panthers as a result. She took the reins of the program after logging an 11-5 record in 2021-22 with one of those defeats coming at the hands of Saint Anselm.
