MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's tennis team takes on Assumption University on Sunday, Apr. 10 at 5:30 p.m. on the campus of Southern New Hampshire University.

Saint Anselm carries a 4-12 overall record into play while Assumption logged a 4-7 record in the fall. The Hawks were scheduled to take on Colby-Sawyer in a match that Saint Anselm was prepared to play before being informed of its cancellation.

SCOUTING SAINT ANSELM
  • The Hawks are in a four-match losing skid, most recently claiming victory over Saint Michael's on Saturday, Oct. 9. Saint Anselm is playing a robust spring schedule, taking on Atlantis (exhibition), Wayne State (Mich.) and Regis (Mass.) so far this semester.
  • Freshman Abigail Svor (Lewiston, Maine) was named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week on Tuesday, Apr. 6 after taking victories at No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles against Regis last time out.
  • Svor was one of two Saint Anselm student-athletes to post a win in both singles and doubles play against the Pride, joining junior Anastasia Kapothanasis (Westbrook, Maine) in that category. Kapothanasis logged wins at No. 1 singles and doubles versus Regis.
  • Freshman Olivia Parzick (Bow, N.H.) has had an outstanding season for Saint Anselm as a first-year performer, leading the team with five singles wins in 12 matches. She is 4-2 when playing at No. 4 singles. Abigail Svor is the team's leader with a 7-3 record in doubles play on the year.
SCOUTING ASSUMPTION
  • Graduate student Julia Chappell, a native of Manchester, N.H., earned Third Team All-Conference honors at No. 1 doubles alongside partner Cara McCormack. The duo posted a dominant 9-2 record at the top doubles flight.
  • Assumption snapped a four-match losing streak with a victory over NCAA Division III Endicott on Saturday, Oct. 16. Other wins on the year for the Greyhounds included one against Saint Michael's (6-1) and two more against Saint Anselm (5-2) and American International (5-2).
  • The team narrowly lost at home against Stonehill on Sept. 26. The Greyhounds lost the doubles point but claimed wins at No. 1, No. 5 and No. 6 singles.
ALL-TIME vs. ASSUMPTION
  • The Hawks lead the all-time series with Assumption, 24-21, but the Greyhounds have logged 11 consecutive victories over Saint Anselm entering the match on Sunday.
