MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's basketball team hosts Saint Michael's College on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Northeast-10 Conference play.
Saint Anselm enters play with a 13-11 overall record and a 9-8 mark in NE10 competition. The Hawks won their last game against Franklin Pierce on Wednesday, doing so in convincing fashion – taking the game by an 89-51 margin, the Hawks reached a season-high total in points.
Saint Michael's has lost 18 of its 22 games on the season and has just two wins in 16 NE10 fixtures. Earlier this season, the Purple Knights were tripped up by a 67-44 margin on Dec. 30 and since then, Saint Michael's has just one victory, a 78-74 win against Franklin Pierce on Feb. 12.
The Hawks will also celebrate Senior Day on Saturday, recognizing the seniors for Saint Michael's, but also the team's own trio of soon-to-be graduates.

SCOUTING SAINT ANSELM
- Scoring a season-high 89 points against Franklin Pierce last time out, sophomore Gabby Turco (Wildwood, N.J.) and freshman Melanie Hoyt (Stamford, N.Y.) tied for the game-high with 18 points each. Senior Peyton Steinman (Pittsfield, Mass.) scored 11 points and matched a career-high with 18 boards, marking her fifth double-double of the season.
- Steinman's 18 rebounds versus the Ravens are the most by a Saint Anselm student-athlete this season. She now has 714 career rebounds for Saint Anselm, becoming just the 12th student-athlete in team history to reach 700 in a career.
- Sophomore Olivia Bonee (West Hartford, Conn.) posted a career-high five points for Saint Anselm while Hoyt reached a career-high in point scoring against Franklin Pierce. Junior McKenzy Ouellette (West Newfield, Maine) hauled in five rebounds, establishing a career-high mark.
- The Hawks rank eighth in NCAA Division II in free throw percentage (79.8%), led by Steinman's 88.2% rate. Turco is not far behind, making 81% of her free throws – the duo ranks second and sixth, respectively, in the conference.
- Steinman's 142 free throws is second in NCAA Division II. Earlier this season, she set the career record for free throws made by a Saint Anselm student-athlete and has 474 free throws made across 113 games on the Hilltop.
- Hoyt has blocked 25 shots so far this season, ranking eighth in the NE10. Her 1.09 rejections per tilt stands as the ninth-finest figure in the league.
- The disciplined Hawks commit just 14 turnovers per game, the second-best figure in the NE10, and the squad's 14.1 personal fouls per game ranks 23rd in NCAA Division II.
- Saint Anselm will recognize seniors Steinman, Stephanie Jankovic (Averill Park, N.Y.), and Jenoyce Laniyan (Bedford, N.H.) with a pre-game ceremony for Senior Day on Saturday.
SCOUTING SAINT MICHAEL'S
- Last time out, Saint Michael's fell to regionally-ranked Stonehill on Wednesday. The Skyhawks jumped out to an 8-0 lead and never looked back.
- Makayla Blake led Saint Michael's with 12 points and five rebounds.
- Saint Michael's ranks third in the NE10 in three-point field goals per game (6.5), personal fouls per game (14.5) and defensive rebounds per game (28.5).
- Nicole Anderson leads the NE10 in three-point field goals attempted while ranking seventh in field goal attempts (290). Her 1.59 assist-to-turnover ratio is the second finest figure in the NE10 (1.59).
- The Purple Knights are dead last in NCAA Division II in free throws attempted (209).
ALL-TIME vs. SAINT MICHAEL'S
- Saint Anselm holds the edge in the all-time series, 55-24. The 55 victories by the Hawks are the most against any opponent in team history, just ahead of Assumption (53) and Southern New Hampshire/New Hampshire College (52).
- The Hawks have won each of the last eight games against the Purple Knights dating back to Feb. 11, 2017. Saint Anselm also enjoys a modest four-game winning streak over Saint Michael's in Vermont.
