The Hawks grabbed a 97-80 win over Roberts Wesleyan to open their season on Nov. 11 before falling to Daemen by an 81-69 score the following day in the East Region Challenge. Following the Hawks home opener against Bentley, the team will head to Pace on Tuesday, Nov. 22 before hosting Franklin Pierce on Sunday, Nov. 27.
The Eagles split a pair of opening weekend games with Southern Connecticut State on Nov. 12 and Southern New Hampshire on Nov. 13. Post grabbed a 64-53 win to open its season and suffered just a one-point loss to the Penmen, 62-61. After hosting the Hawks, the Eagles will head to American International on Saturday, Nov. 19.
The Falcons downed Goldey-Beacom by a 113-70 score to open the 2022-23 season before grabbing a 13-point over Wilmington (Del.) on Nov. 12. Following the trip to the Hilltop, Bentley will travel to Southern New Hampshire on Tuesday, Nov. 22.

HAWKS NOTES
- Senior Tyler Arbuckle (Bristol, Conn.) netted 44 points between the weekend split, canning 22 points in each game. Arbuckle is shooting 59.3% from the floor including a team-high 57.1% from beyond the arc.
- Junior Jadon Archer (Enfield, Conn.), sophomore Zac Taylor (Victoria, Australia), and junior Matt Becker (Fairfield, Conn.) are averaging 13.5, 11.5, and 10.0 points per game respectively.
- Becker and senior Owen McGlashan (Marlton, N.J.) are tied for the Hawks lead with 13 rebounds each in the early going. McGlashan came up one rebound short of a double-double in the season opening game against Roberts Wesleyan.
- Becker leads Saint Anselm with eight assists while Arbuckle follows closely with six. The Hawks, as a team, have 15 steals led by McGlashan who has six.
- The Hawks are shooting 47.5% from the floor through the opening weekend while their opponents are at 47.9%.
SCOUTING POST
- Isaiah Holmes leads the Eagles with 32 points, averaging 16.0 per game. David Jasson and D.J. Frechette are second and third on the team with 18 and 16 points each respectively.
- Abdul-Basit Aija has an average of 8.5 rebounds per game, as he has a team-high 17 boards this season. Collins Onyeike ranks second on the team with 14 rebounds through the first two games.
- Holmes, Jasson, Quest Harris, and Tyler Small are tied for the team lead with four assists apiece.
- Holmes and Small lead the Eagles with three steals apiece as the squad as a whole has 10.
- The Eagles offense is sinking shots at 43.9% while their opponents are at 36.5%.
SCOUTING BENTLEY
- NE10 Player of the Week Zach Laput is averaging 24.0 points per game, totaling 48 through the Falcons first two contests. Laput was a perfect eight-for-eight from the field, aiding to his 27-point effort in the win over Goldey-Beacom.
- Aaron Latham and Matt Leritz rank second and third on the squad with 19.0 and 17.5 points per game each.
- Laput also leads the squad with 9.5 boards per game with Brian Wirght-Kinsey and Leritz following closely with 7.5 and 7.0 rebounds per contest.
- Wright-Kinsey has dished a team-high nine assists. Mason Webb and Latham are averaging 4.0 helpers per contest.
- Bentley owns a 58.8 shooting percentage while they are limiting their opponents to a 44.8 shooting percentage.
ALL-TIME vs. POST, BENTLEY
- The Hawks and Eagles are meeting for the 14th time in program history. Saint Anselm enjoys a 12-1 record against Post.
- The teams last met on Dec. 20, 2021 from Stoutenburgh Gymnasium. The Eagles grabbed a 65-63 win, marking their first in the all-time series.
- Saint Anselm and Bentley will be battling for the 103rd time in the all-time series. Bentley holds a slight 52-50 edge in the series in men's basketball.
- The Falcons took both regular season meetings in the 2021-22 season and captured an 81-65 win on Mar. 3, 2022 in the NE10 Semifinals.
