MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's ice hockey team will head to Franklin Pierce University on Friday, Nov. 11 before hosting the Ravens on Saturday, Nov. 12 for Pink in the Rink weekend.
The Saint Anselm ice hockey programs will be selling rally towels for $5 and chuck-a-pucks for $1 apiece during the three contests at Sullivan Arena, will supplies last. All proceeds will be donated to Cancer Research at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, N.H

The Hawks captured a weekend sweep of Stonehill College on Nov. 4 and Nov. 5, posting a 4-3 win in overtime on Friday before adding a 3-1 win on Saturday. The Hawks improved to 6-7-1 on the season and 6-2-1 in New England Women's Hockey Alliance play. Following the home-and-home series with the Ravens, Saint Anselm will head to Saint Michael's College for a pair of NEWHA tilts with the Purple Knights on Friday, Nov. 18 and Saturday, Nov. 19.
The Ravens skated to a scoreless tie on Nov. 4 before grabbing a 2-0 win the following day against Saint Michael's. Franklin Pierce enters play on Friday with a 3-5-1 overall record and a 2-1-1 record in league tilts. The team heads to Sacred Heart University on Friday, Nov. 18 and Saturday, Nov. 19 for a pair of road NEWHA contests.
HAWKS NOTES
- The top team in the league is led by the most recent NEWHA Player of the Week, sophomore Tyra Turner (Andover, Minn.). Turner has eight goals and seven assists for 15 points. The sophomore is tied for the league lead in goals and assists while leading the NEWHA in points.
- Junior Natalie Tulchinsky (Clifton Park, N.Y.) is tied with Turner for the spot on the team and in the NEWHA with eight goals and has added six helpers which brings her to 14 points, the second most in the league.
- Junior Savannah Popick (South Windsor, Conn.) netted the game-winning goal in the overtime win over the Skyhawks, marking the first tally of her collegiate career. She was named the NEWHA Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts against Stonehill.
- Senior Allie Kelley (East Berne, N.Y.) owns a 3.36 goals-against average and a 0.907 save percentage in 14 games this season. Kelley leads the NEWHA with 460 saves in 2022-23.
- The Hawks lead the NEWHA in goals (37), assists (52), and shots (374). Saint Anselm has had 10 student-athletes light the lamp while 18 have at least one point.
- The Saint Anselm power play is operating at 13.1%, having scored eight times on 61 power play chances. The Hawks are killing off penalties at 83.9%, allowing nine goals in 56 times shorthanded.
SCOUTING FRANKLIN PIERCE
- Avery Farrell leads the Ravens offense with three goals and three assists for six points. Franklin Pierce has netted 10 goals in nine games in 2022-23.
- Stefanie Caban, Mikayla Kelley, McKenzie Rich, and Jenna Ruiz are all tied for second on the squad with three points.
- Kelley and Ruiz have netted two goals and added an assist while Caban and Rich are tied with Farrell for the team lead with three assists each.
- Suzette Faucher and Jill Hertl have split time in the goal for the Ravens this season. Faucher owns a 3.57 goals-against average and a 0.927 save percentage in five starts while Hertl, the NEWHA Rookie of the Week, has a 1.22 goals-against average and a 0.952 save percentage in four starts.
- The Ravens have netted three goals in 22 power play chances, good for a 13.6% conversion rate. On the penalty kill, the team is successful 87.5% of the time, allowing three goals in 24 times shorthanded.
ALL-TIME vs. FRANKLIN PIERCE
- The home-and-home series will be the 33rd and 34th meetings in the all-time series between the Hawks and Ravens. Saint Anselm enjoys a 24-7-1 record against Franklin Pierce all-time.
- The squads most recently met in the NEWHA Championship game on Mar. 5, 2022 which went the Ravens' way by a 1-0 score.
- Franklin Pierce won four of the five meetings during the 2021-22 campaign with Saint Anselm capturing a 1-0 win on Oct. 29, 2021, marking its last win in the series.
