The opening kickoff for the Northeast-10 Conference battle is set for 3 p.m.

The Hawks last played on Oct. 1 at nationally-ranked Saint Rose, falling by a 2-0 score to the reigning National Champion runner-up. Saint Anselm moves to 6-4-1 overall and 2-4-1 in NE10 play. Following Saturday's match, the Hawks will have two road and two home games left in the regular season with the first road match coming on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Assumption.

The Yellow Jackets fell to Franklin Pierce, who is receiving votes in the most recent United Soccer Coaches National poll, by a 5-0 score on Oct. 5. The loss drops American International to 4-3-3 overall and 2-3-2 in conference play. The team hosts nationally-ranked Saint Rose on Wednesday, Oct. 12 following the trip to the Hilltop.

HAWKS NOTES

• Saint Anselm owns a 4-0-1 record when playing from the friendly confines of Melucci Field and when playing as the home team, the Hawks are 5-0-1 overall. When on the road, the Hawks are 1-4-0 this season.
• Sophomore Josie Pecor (Williston, Vt.) leads the Saint Anselm offense with four goals and 11 points. Pecor has been credited with one game-winning goal.
• Junior Olivia Gotobed (North Andover, Mass.) ranks second on the team with three goals and with nine points.
• Pecor, Gotobed, and sophomore Erin Rutherford (Ashburnham, Mass.) are tied for the team lead with three assists each.
• Freshman Emma Hudson (Kingston, Mass.) has started all 11 games for Saint Anselm. She has made 52 saves and owns a 1.29 goals-against average and 0.788 save percentage.
• With five games remaining in the regular season, the Hawks currently sit in seventh in the NE10 standings.

SCOUTING AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL

• The Yellow Jackets are 3-1-1 on the road this season but are just 1-2-2 when playing at home.
• The team currently has eight points in the NE10 women's soccer standings which is good for sixth.
• Charlotte Bernard leads the Yellow Jackets offense with three goals and with six points. Alyssa Stetson is second on the squad with two markers.
• Wilma Jansson leads American International with three assists this season while Tystin Burger follows closely with two.
• Olivia Sousa has started all 10 games in the goal for the Yellow Jackets. She has a 1.14 goals-against average and a 0.718 save percentage.

ALL-TIME vs. AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL

• This will be the 40th meeting all-time between the Hawks and Yellow Jackets. Saint Anselm leads the series by a 22-12-5 margin.
• Saint Anselm is unbeaten in each of the last four meetings with American International, holding a 3-0-1 record during that time.
• The Hawks posted a 3-2 win in overtime in Springfield, Mass. on Oct. 9, 2021. Senior Kathryn White (Georgetown, Mass.) netted a goal just 1:29 into the overtime period on a free kick to give the Hawks the victory.
