PREVIEW: Women's soccer travels to Le Moyne

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The regionally ranked Saint Anselm College women's soccer team heads to Le Moyne for a Northeast-10 Conference battle on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Hawks cruised to a 4-0 victory over New Haven on Tuesday. Sophomore Olivia Gotobed (North Andover, Mass.) tallied two goals in the first 18 minutes before the Chargers fell to some misfortune with an own goal. The Hawks led 3-0 by the 22nd minute. Junior Grace Foley (Middleton, Mass.) added her second goal of the season late in the contest.

The Dolphins return home after falling to American International on Tuesday, 3-1. The Yellow Jackets jumped out to an early 2-0 lead before Katharine Stanard cut the deficit to one in the 72nd minute. The Yellow Jackets reestablished their two-goal lead with a goal in the 89th minute, securing the win.

Fans attending the match at Ted Grant Field are expected to familiarize themselves with the Le Moyne Spectator Policy.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS
  • Saint Anselm has played only one match away from Melucci Field this season and it resulted in a 1-0 victory in overtime over Adelphi.
  • Three of five matches have gone to overtime for Saint Anselm. They are 2-1 in matches that go to extra time.
  • Saint Anselm is 36th in Division II in scoring offense, averaging 2.40 goals per game.

  • Foley and freshman Sydney Wnek (Haverhill, Mass.) have two goals each while senior Regan Pratt (Newburyport, Mass.), sophomore Delaney Glode (Kennebunkport, Maine), senior Olivia Maier (Sherborn, Mass.), and freshman Erin Rutherford (Ashburnham, Mass.) all have one goal for Saint Anselm.
  • Pratt leads the team and is tied for the conference lead with three assists. Wnek has added two assists. Gotobed, and Freshmen Riley Digilio (Danvers, Mass.), Josie Pecor (Williston, Vt.), and Anna Rigby (Marblehead, Mass.) all have one assist.
  • Junior goalkeeper Kate Macaluso (Malverne, N.Y.) is 4-1 on the season with a .97 goals against average and a .750 save percentage. She has 15 saves on 20 shots on goal and has posted one shutout and has one combined shutout on the season.
  • The Hawks have put 45 shots on goal while allowing 20 for their opponents. Saint Anselm also holds a plus-seven goal differential which is fifth-best in the conference.
SCOUTING THE DOLPHINS
  • The Dolphins have dropped two matches this season by 1-0 scores and have played to one tie.
  • The team started the season 1-1-1 before dropping its most recent two contests.
  • Stanard, Lexi Aquilino, Hannah Trice-Brown, Amya Naja, and Brooke Wilson have one goal each. Aquilino holds the lone game-winner for the Dolphins.
  • Ali Greco, Hildur Unnarsdottir, and Maddison Vine have registered one assist each.
  • Allison Moreau has played every minute in the Le Moyne goal. She has a 1.34 goals against average and a .800 save percentage. She is 1-3-1 on the season.
  • The Dolphins are being outshot by their opponents, 66-49 and in shots on goal, 35-27. They hold a minus-two goal differential.
ALL-TIME SERIES vs. LE MOYNE
  • This will be the 27th meeting all-time between the Hawks and Dolphins. Saint Anselm is 14-8-4 to lead the series.
