Last time out against Bentley, the Hawks took an early second-half lead on a goal by senior
Zach Elliot (Manchester, N.H.). Bentley would tie the contest in the 79th minute before senior
Patrick Sorensen (Sturbridge, Mass.) gave the Hawks the lead for good with a free kick goal. Elliot added his second tally of the match in the 90th minute as Saint Anselm opened its Northeast-10 Conference schedule with a 3-1 win on Saturday.
The Skyhawks dropped their NE10 opener on Saturday to Assumption, 3-2. The pivotal goal came in the 42nd minute for the Greyhounds, which gave them a 2-1 lead. After
Jacob Woznicki opened the scoring in the 16th minute, Assumption got on the board just 40 seconds later. Stonehill tied the match in the 88th minute on the sixth goal of the season by
Iago Luiz De Sousa-Vieira. The tie contest lasted just 35 seconds as the Greyhounds found the back of the net with just under two minutes remaining, notching them the 3-2 win.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS
- Saint Anselm is ranked eighth in the most recent United Soccer Coaches East Region Coaches' Poll.
- Elliot has a hand in six of the Hawks seven goals this season, posting four goals and two assists for 10 points (4-2=10). The senior ranks 18th in Division II in goals per game (1.00) and points per game (2.50).
- Sorensen registered the game-winning goal in the win over Bentley while juniors Josue Assantha (Bukavu, Democratic Republic of Congo) and Taylor Silverstein (Concord, N.H.) are responsible for the other two Hawks goals.
- Assantha and Silverstein also have one assist each while sophomores Thomas Prentice (Merrimack, N.H.) and Zach Verow (Bedford, N.H.) join the junior pair with one assist each.
- Junior Brian Underhill (Westford, Mass.) has allowed just two goals on 16 shots. He ranks 11th nationally with a 0.50 goals-against average. Underhill's .875 save percentage ranks 10th in Division II.
- As a team, the Hawks are eighth nationally and first in the conference in team save percentage (.875). Saint Anselm holds a 24-16 advantage over its opponents in shots on goal.
- The Hawks have a plus-five goal differential and have a .500 shutout percentage which is second in the NE10.
SCOUTING THE SKYHAWKS
- Luiz De Sousa-Vieira ranks seventh in Division II with six goals on the season. He has two game-winning goals which is tied for fourth nationally.
- Zach Davis and Woznicki have two goals each. Nico Rossitto has one marker for the Skyhawks.
- Woznicki is the team leader with two assists. Brendan Davis, Zach Davis, Luka Gjuraj, and Shon Ryan have one assist each.
- Andrew Hammersley is 2-3 on the season, starting in five matches. He has made 37 saves on 46 shots on goal. Hammersley has a 1.75 goals against average and a .804 save percentage. He ranks third nationally in total saves.
- Starting in one match for the Skyhawks, Ryan Coutu is 1-0 after allowing two goals on six shots on goal.
- Opponents are outshooting the Skyhawks, 52-41. Stonehill holds a zero goal differential.
