The Hawks split their matches on the final weekend of the regular season, falling to American International on Nov. 12 before downing Adelphi on Nov. 13. Saint Anselm enters the NE10 Championship with a
19-7 record overall and a 9-4 mark in league matches. The Hawks enter NE10 postseason play as the sixth seed after the head-to-head tie breakers went to Bentley and Southern Connecticut State.
The Skyhawks suffered a 3-1 loss to Southern Connecticut State on Nov. 13 to conclude their regular season at 20-8 with a 10-3 mark in NE10 play. Stonehill captured the third seed entering the NE10 Championship, finishing just one game back of American International for the regular season title.
The winner of the Stonehill/Saint Anselm match will go on to face the winner of Southern New Hampshire and New Haven on Friday, Nov. 19.
Fans attending the match at Merkert Gymnasium are expected to familiarize themselves with the Stonehill College

SCOUTING SAINT ANSELM
- For the sixth consecutive full season, the Hawks have qualified for the NE10 playoffs. Saint Anselm is chasing its first conference championship in program history after reaching the semifinals for the first time in 2019. All time in the conference postseason, Saint Anselm is 3-15.
- With 37 assists in the regular season finale, junior co-captain Michelle Henwood (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) became the sixth student athlete in program history to reach 2,000 career assists. On the season, Henwood has recorded 894 assists, averaging 9.82 assists per set which is fifth highest in the NE10.
- Junior Lauren Casey (Jefferson City, Mo.) and freshman Gabby Belcher (Buckeye, Ariz.) have fired 267 and 217 kills each to lead the Hawks offense. Casey is averaging 3.00 kills per set on a .245 hitting percentage. In the Hawks win on Oct. 19, Casey led the Hawks offense with 13 kills while Belcher added 12.
- Junior co-captain Caroline Belmontez (San Diego, Calif.) is averaging 4.25 digs per set. She has 361 on the season and now has 916 for her career. She needs 74 to have the 10th most in program history. Belmontez also leads the team in service aces with 39, averaging .46 per set which is tied for the conference lead. As a team, the Hawks average 2.09 service aces per set ranking 20th in Division II.
- Sophomore Audrey Wetjen (Henderson, Nev.) is fifth in the conference in blocks per set with .82. On the season, Wetjen has 27 solo blocks and 46 assisted for 73.0 total.
SCOUTING STONEHILL
- Since falling to the Hawks on Oct. 19, the Skyhawks notched six consecutive wins before falling to New Haven and Southern Connecticut State on Nov. 6 and Nov. 13 to conclude the regular season. Stonehill is 20-8 entering the NE10 Quarterfinals finishing its conference slate at 10-3. The Skyhawks were tied with New Haven for second in the standings but New Haven won the head-to-head tie breaker.
- Abby Remick and Basia Peragine lead the Skyhawks offense with 311 and 308 kills each. Remick is averaging 3.05 kills per set while Peragine sits at 2.93. Peragine and Remick combined for 26 of the Skyhawks 46 kills in the Oct. 19th meeting.
- Lauren Wilke is averaging 7.68 assists per set and has a season total of 791 while Molly Turner sits in second on the team with 258.
- Carly Russell ranks third in total digs at 493 and fourth in digs per set with 4.79, both in the NE10 rankings. Wilke has the second most digs for the Skyhawks with 274.
- Clare Feeman and Shannon Burgess have 69 and 64 total blocks to aid the Stonehill defensive efforts.
- Russell and Remick have over 30 service aces each this season as Russell is the team leader with 34, averaging .33 per set.
- Stonehill is looking to reach the NE10 Championship finals for the first time in program history. All time, they are 18-37 and reached the semifinals on 10 occasions.
ALL-TIME vs. STONEHILL
- This is the 41st meeting all-time between the two programs as Stonehill leads the series, 22-18.
- The Hawks and Skyhawks are meeting for the third time this season as each program has grabbed one win. Stonehill opened the season series with a non-conference win on Sept. 23 in 3-0 fashion from North Easton, Mass. Saint Anselm captured the conference match on Oct. 19 in a five-set thriller, snapping a nine-match win streak for the Skyhawks.
- This will be the second meeting all-time from within the conference postseason. The first meeting came in an NE10 Postseason Pool Play match on Nov. 6, 1993, resulting in a 3-2 win for the Skyhawks.
