The Hawks fell to Assumption on Saturday, 1-0, ending a five-match unbeaten streak and a shutout streak of 448:37, which is one of the longest in program history. Saint Anselm is now 5-2-1 on the season with a 3-2-1 record in Northeast-10 Conference play. The Hawks head to American International on Saturday, Oct. 9 to close out a three-match stretch against regionally-ranked opponents.
A penalty kick goal in the 71st minute by Bentley stood as the lone goal in the match as the Ravens fell to 4-4-2 overall with a 1-2-2 record in league contests. Franklin Pierce returns home to host New Haven on Saturday, Oct. 9.
SCOUTING SAINT ANSELM
- Junior Kathryn White (Georgetown, Mass.) fired a match-high three shots and nearly got the Hawks on the board in the 28th minute against Assumption but her free-kick shot bounced off the crossbar.
- The Hawks have out-shot their opponents in the last three matches by 21-1, 21-6, and 16-7 margins but have only converted on one of their shots.
- Saint Anselm has scored 12 goals this season with eight goal scorers. Sophomore Olivia Gotobed (North Andover, Mass.), junior Grace Foley (Middleton, Mass.), and freshman Sydney Wnek (Haverhill, Mass.) are the only student-athletes on the team with multiple goals. Gotobed is the team leader with three which ranks eighth in the conference.
- In a tie for the top spot in the conference, senior Regan Pratt (Newburyport, Mass.) has three assists on the season. She opened the season with an assist in each of the first three games.
- Junior Kate Macaluso (Malverne, N.Y.) is 5-2-1 on the season with a 0.72 goals-against average and a .769 save percentage. She made two saves on three shots on goal against Assumption. Macaluso has made 20 saves on 26 shots on goal.
- Saint Anselm has played five one-goal matches, posting a 3-2 record in those games. The Hawks are 1-1-2 in their four overtime contests.
SCOUTING FRANKLIN PIERCE
- After opening the season with a 4-0 record and outscoring opponents by a 17-0 margin, the Ravens are 0-2-2 in their most recent matches. In their most recent stretch, Franklin Pierce has allowed four goals while scoring just once.
- Anna Crapanzano, Hailey Goodman, Tess McKenzie, Jasmine Perez-Acosta, and Viridiana Vazquez Kloss have scored three goals each which is tied for eighth in the conference.
- Goodman and Perez-Acosta have three assists each for a total of nine points which is tied for fourth in the NE10. Five other student-athletes have one assist.
- Gabby Calidonio is 4-1-2 on the season with a .41 goals against average and a .893 save percentage. Her goals against average is second in the conference and her save percentage is third. Emilie Fox has started one game and is 0-1 after allowing one goal on six shots on net.
- The Ravens are ninth in the NE10 with a .400-win percentage. They have accumulated five points while scoring three goals and allowing four in league matches.

- This is the 37th meeting all-time between the Hawks and Ravens. Franklin Pierce is 31-3-2 against the Hawks.
- Saint Anselm won the last meeting by a 2-1 score in overtime on Oct. 8, 2019 - it was the first-ever Hawks victory over FPU in Rindge, N.H.
- The Ravens hold the longest winning streak in the all-time series at 24 matches. The streak started on Oct. 31, 1991 and ending on Oct. 26, 2011 with a scoreless tie.
- The Hawks last home win came on Oct. 10, 2012, resulting in a 2-1 decision at Melucci Field.
