SANFORD, Fla. – The Saint Anselm College women's tennis team opened the spring slate with a 7-0 loss to the University of Findlay on Tuesday afternoon at Silver Lake Park.

Sophomore Dominique Bolduc (Manchester, N.H.) played a tough match at No. 6 singles. After dropping the first set 6-0, she battled in the second set before eventually falling 7-5. At No. 3 singles, freshman Emily Jacy (Glastonbury, Conn.) won four games in a 6-2, 6-2 setback to Laura Brito.
Senior Kayla Hodas (Peabody, Mass.) won a game in the first set of her match at No. 5 singles against Cristina Nieto Soto, before taking two games in a 6-2 setback in the second set.
In the top doubles flight, junior Kaitlin Hughes (Rockland, Mass.) and sophomore Maikah Bulpitt (Cumberland, R.I.) dropped a tough 6-2 decision to Samantha Sweet and Laiying Alvarez.
