The Hawks improve to 3-1 on the year, winning their second Northeast-10 Conference tilt in as many nights. Assumption falls to 0-2 overall, losing two consecutive league fixtures. Saint Anselm hits the road this Tuesday, Nov. 21, heading to Stonehill for a 5:30 p.m. contest.

Ryan posted six blocks in the win, the 16th time a Saint Anselm student-athlete has accomplished that feat in program history. She is the first student-athlete to recorded six or more blocks since Samnell Vonleh threw up six blocks at Southern New Hampshire on Feb. 23, 2016.

Trailing by a 21-20 margin with exactly four minutes to go in the first half, the Hawks rattled off a seven-point scoring run to take a 27-21 lead with 2:47 to go. A jumper by Ashley Briggs preceded a Ryan jumper and a Grace Guachione triple to create the advantage.

A second seven-point streak by Saint Anselm shortly into the second half made a game-high 14 point lead for the Hawks at 41-27 with 3:53 to go in the third quarter. Ryan sparked the Hawks with a jumper before Emma Daly poured home a three-point basket prior to back-to-back Peyton Steinman free throws.

Ali Glennon made one of the biggest shots of the afternoon with 6:26 left in regulation as her three-point basket reestablished a late 10 point lead, 51-41. Ryan also helped the Hawks on defense in the final 20 minutes, throwing up four of her six total blocks in the second half alone.

Daly joined Clairee Putnam with seven points apiece with the latter leading the way with four assists. Putnam also finished with six rebounds, equaling Sara Messler's final total.

Assumption was led by 14 points from Morgan O'Donnell, who came up just shy of a double-double with nine rebounds.
